Midway BSA 4-14×44

I mostly shoot target up to 100yards. Anyone with first hand experience with this scope? I’m open for suggestions

On the Edge,

There are actually two models of the SWFA scope, one is a side focus and the other is a rear focus where the power or zoom ring would normally be.

The side focus is much more sturdy and expensive.

look identical to the BSA. could it be the same scope?

thanks guys

the BSA caught my attention because of the FFP but I’m a little hesitant due to a not too favorable reviews.

SWFA looks to be a much better choice and scope.

This scope is also going on a Edgun..

Get the Swat scope.

I went shopping yesterday for a scope for the Edgun I just bought. I ended up getting a Leupold VX111 4.5×14 LR Mildot with turrents, I have the 30 MM version on my Haley, if I had not, the Swat was on my short list and I would have gotten it, for 300 bucks it is hard to beat.

Many here that have the swat swear by it, most swear at the BSA’s. 😛

!2 power is good, I was looking at the 10 power, but I personaly don’t care for high power scopes. I shoot 1/2 MOA with my one good 63 year old eye at 260 yards. I have just seen too much wounded game, elk and deer, and was called upon to track and retrieve them mostly caused by tyro’s with to much magnification.

Besides wounded squirrels are harder to track. 😛

Many poo poo BSA optics, but personally I have no problem with them. For the money they are excellent scopes.

As to the SWFA, I have no experience with them but I hear very good comments about them. The info says it has side parallax adjustment, but the pics do not show it.

You would likely be quite happy with either. I guess it depends on whether you want to be able to adjust the magnification or not. You probably won’t, but having the option to might be a consideration of the two.
