Q:

Glad to be here…

Hello All,

My name is Steve and I’m excited to be new member of your forum. This far, I have spent most of my time on GTA but as of today, I have a Cricket on the way.. so I figured I had better make new acquaintances. I look forward to learning along side of you!

Regards,
Steve

Thanks for the Intel.. I do plan to mount a bipod so I appreciate it. It’s just personal preference but I really like the look of the black stock. AGOA also shared that it’s more scratch & nick resistant than the wood, so hopefully it works for me.

Hoot – Do you happen to know if that synth. stock is the same stock as on the std Cricket (equipped with synth. stock,dóh) or of a different length for the .25 ??? A synthetic one would suit my needs far better than a wooden one which ,while beautiful to look at, is easily dinged and scratched and will loose its appearances over time. Kinda reminds me of my wife back in the day vs. now … :3:

I have the synthetic .25 Cricket and I LOVE that stock. It is warm to the touch, easily drilled should you wish to add a picatinny rail on the bottom or sides. Although, I would suggest using bolts that use an interior lock nut, instead of a simple threaded screw. It’s not a hard, brittle plastic, but rather a somewhat softer substance. There’s plenty of inside working room in the forearm to permit such things, as the air cylinder does not touch the bottom of the inside. By design, or not, it makes adding accessories up front a very easy task!

Stay tuned. Much said and much more to be said regarding the Crickets around here.

Hi Hoot,

It’s called the “.22 Standard Synthetic” I believe. Thanks for the welcome!

Steve

Hi Steve!

There’s already quite a bit of info on here about the Cricket, and more each day.

By the way, which Cricket are you getting?
