Shooter! by Sean Kennedy
Anybody else try this $10 program on your Droid? Its bad ass!
It uses GPS for atmospheric conditions, wind, corialis effect AND you can link via Bluetooth to your Kestrel hand held weather station.
You can download it on Marketplace.
I’ve been using it with great success with my M40A3, but recently I’ve added all of my Airguns specs into the program.
I took my 1377 Pumper out today – ranged my target at 38 yards. The program said 1.9 Mils holdover, so I shot a 3 shot group in the wind using a 2 Mil hold over. I was rewarded with a group just over 1/2″, all in the bullseye.
This is with a POS fixed 6x Bug Buster.
Anyway, if you have a smartphone and your a data and ballistic junkie – BUY IT! Its well worth the $10 and will save you from spending $500 on a dedicated shooting PDA.
🙂
If you don’t have $10, download Strelok. Its free and is a faster interface, but not as detailed.
What I like about this program is you pick your Scopes reticle from an expansive gallery of Scopes – plug in your range – click ‘reticle’ and it shows a picture of the reticle, where you should hold and wind holdoffs in MPH on the horizontal crosshair.
I’m currently using both programs. The true ‘kit’ program is Shooter, but Strelok is really fun to play with.
Just an FYI for everybody…………….
