Wait a minute…while you have that beast apart it’s the very best time to check the valve seat and condition if the delrin valve duh…senior moment, ah delrin valve plug??
The first time I had mine apart I found green crud in the brass knob that holds the steel valve spring. Probably from moisture before I got a dry pack for my hill pump.
Oh, and Marmot Malitia provided a new o-ring that cheap me didn’t use until I noticed the old one oozing out as the tank slowly lost pressure. I quess most guys don’t have that problem but I’m lucky that way. But the valve is a bit easier to remove the second time.

Now Iยดm also waiting for the TTTA to arrive.
that’s pretty damn slick looking ๐
I made these tools some time ago to remove the valve from the AF Tank (very useful):

Now Iยดm also waiting for the TTTA to arrive.
Well I’ve got the TTTA attached, centered and filled ๐ I’ve got to say I should have gotten one of these sooner.
Now all I need to do is switch over to my other scope rings and move my scope back towards me a bit and I will be all set at least until my wokguard comes in the mail and my shroud comes back damn I can’t wait to do some more shooting.
Up next more add-ons, chances are it’ll be some more from talon tunes and AOA as well as RL airguns ๐

You still have to orient your tank collar so the adapter is vertical.
Tony
That was my fault I didn’t notice that there was a grub screw that would allow me to move the tank collar (just found it) thanks ๐ Now it looks much better
What do you mean askew?

I just took mine chucked it up in a vise with a nice fat magazine wrapped around it and used a drill bit fits good and smacked it with a 2 1/2 lb sledge and job well done.

Yeah I took a look at that and down inside of the bottle itself I was always taught that when I take something apart to look it over for anything that looks unusual from what you would expect. Of course you never know what to expect but from the valve pictures that I’ve seen posted on here I knew it looked OK and the o-ring looked normal. I might just make a valve disassembly a part of a 3 year clean and inspection
