Q:

Atlas bipod on my Matador R3 and Cricket

I have finally broke down and bought an Atlas bipod with American Defense Quick Disconnect option.
Also at the same time got BT17 rails for both R3 and Cricket.

All I can say WOW. 😯 It really is what everyone say it is. Very well made, light, highly adjustable.
Takes seconds to put on and take off.

Here is some pictures of the bipod on Cricket and R3

I thought the Atlas was a little spendy too but given the excellent resale value I decided to try one… and now I have two of them. 😆

The adjustability of the legs, the smoothness of the pan & cant, and the amount of “bite” the legs have that allows you to load the bipod are all great. Shoot off a bench at stationary targets all the time and the Atlas is probably overkill. Shoot off uneven terrain or various objects out in the field or at moving objects where the smooth pan & cant come into play and their benefits are more obvious. The ability to load the bipod is of more benefit on a powder burner that actually recoils– but they work great on air rifles too. 😀

Yea I heard that when it came to buying a scope…the gun is $2000 do you want to put a $100 scope on it???
But in all honesty a $40 bipod keeps my gun level and ready to shoot just like any other bipod….it’s not like I’m lying down on uneven ground were I need to spread the “legs” apart to make the shot…lol

But if you are on uneven ground…. =)

Just saying. Usually you get what you pay for. With this Atlas you get way more options than you pay.

Yes $200+ is not cheap for bipod, but it is one bad ass bipod.

Nice bipod and looks great on the guns but realistically to “me” not worth that type of cash.

I think $2000 guns deserve this bipod. You really do get alot for your money with this bipod.

Plus you can use it on your AR or other long range powder burner 😎

That looks very nice on both guns! Could you tell me what the hardware is that you used to attach the B17 rails to the guns with? Thanks!

I have used 3/4 Uncle Mike’s and Grovtec wood screw / sling stud (just because I had them laying around) You can use actual wood screw if you dont want them to protrude.
