Own an Edgun? Fill your Weihrauch.
In all likelihood, this has already been discovered and posted. My search of this forum, however, came up empty, so I will share my little “discovery”. I got an HW100 FAC sent to me from a viewer for experiment purposes. He sent the probe with it, but I did not have another quick-disconnect adapter. And, I was too lazy to unscrew my Edgun probe to swap it for the HW probe. Then, I got to looking at the two. Other than that “cone” on the tip of the HW probe, they seem to be identical. So, against the will of the manufacturers, I slid that edgun probe into the HW100, and viola – filled it without any “hiss”.
However, I’m pretty sure it will not work the other way around (using an HW100 probe to fill an Edgun). This is because that “cone” at the tip of the HW probe prevents it from sliding far enough in into the edguns “hole”. Now, whether you could lop that cone off and make yourself an Edgun probe is something I neither know nor advocate. But, that doesn’t mean I’m not curious. Bear in mind, there is no reason to experiment on such things right now. Edgun parts are available. But, in the event that something goes awry, and the importation of parts dries up, I like to have “ideas” at the ready.

Yep. Been filling my EdGun with the HW100 probe since I got them both. Haven’t even used the EdGun probe yet.
BSA R10 MK2 and Cricket, OTOH, each need their very own probe. Too bad this stuff can’t be standardized. I DO prefer the probes (whichever) to the Foster fitting on the FX and the oddball fitting on the Air Arms, however. And the automatic fill point cover on the Cricket is very nicely done.
