Which way should I go ❓
Is this good for a .25 ❓
Looking to keep below 930 FPS.
Trying to keep the Power Wheel low.
High power Wheel settings definitely cause me to pull, drop, slice, and ‘oh shit’ myself to frequently. That’s probably why I love my tuned down .177 converted Condor. It puts them where I aim.
Is it possible to flatten these strings without a regulator or should I be happy with this ❓ I can shoot tethered but I want to be able to cut the apron strings too 🙄

Note, at 2500 PSI & PW 5/0, I had a choppy slope up, a 5 shot dip of about 10 fps around 2300 psi but a slightly better SD for the first 25 shots. Go figure, it looked shitty. Then I lost readings for five shots 👿
One thing that stuck out on these and a couple other strings was a noticeable dip in fps around 2300 psi of 5-10 fps for 2-5 shots. What could that be about ❓
With the lower PW settings I am liking what I see on my indoor range. I have at least achieved one hole for 35 consecutive shots. Dah, that’s at only 22 feet though.
It’s improvement that counts, right ❓
Anyway, do I have to increase the Power Wheel to get a flatter curve or is there something else to do short of sending it to you 😆

From my old notes and from what I can remember…. 😕
Condor .25 .24″ barrel JSB .25.4
To start testing
I filled to 2700
Set the top hat at .120″ I don’t recall if I had an o ring under the top hat or not.
I set the PW I think at 4
Adjusting only the PW, I took the speed down to around 870. The is where one of the guys here (think it was tofazfou) suggested.
End results –
Fill start at 2500 end pressure 1900
Top hat at .120″
PW – 1.13
Speed 870
Shot count with an SD <10 around 17
Like you, I’ve found that less PW better accuracy. Something that really, really helped was I put one of WOK’s trigger’s on it. Later I put a supersear on it with factory springs not the one that comes with the sear.
Pull weight is now about 12oz. On second stage. Brought my groups at 50 yards way in.

Yep, 24″ TT barrel with TT 1 Piece Valve with Large restricter.
Last time at the range I was shooting above 900-FPS but was mostly concerned with getting the scope mount aligned. The B Square mount with dual adjusting rings and drop adjustment didn’t translate well to the new .25 Condor. I reversed it then recentered the rings and was so happy to get it near zero’d at both 25 AND 50 yards 😆 So, a sidewinder scope doesn’t have to shoot sideways for greater distance ❗
The new slightly slower string will probably change my vertical adjustment but I hope it doesn’t drop to much at 100 yards. The last time I didn’t put a target at 100 but was hitting a clump of dirt every shot at the 100 yard backstop mound. It was comparable to ChairGun at around 4 1/2 mil dot drop. I was real happy with that because before re-doing the mount, I couldn’t hit paper at 100.
I really needed to find a lower PW setting and good string because I really have a problem pulling shots when the PW was at 5 or above. Hopefully I’ll get better for when I need to shoot heavier slugs. For target shooting at 100 yards the JSBs appear to be reasonably priced at under 4 cents each when buying 4200 at a time.
Now, if only it would quit raining and/or wind blowing sometime soon…….
That looks very consistent to me. You don’t mention how the accuracy is with those strings. Is there much drop going up or down on the FPS? Those numbers seem pretty good for 25.4 gr pellets. How long is the barrel? I’m guessing it’s the 24′ with those kind of numbers. Thanks for sharing

Well, no suggestions so I decided on my very own to settle for less.
I got a good string with a minimal PW setting of 2/14 with Fill of 2300 PSI via tank gauge, 2200 via a big gauge.

My next step up with maybe an acceptable power curve puts me at Fill 2500 PSI, PW of 5/0 & avg.around 905 FPS. And I know I have a tendency to pull a few shots there.
Any suggestions ❓ ❓

This last string is the best looking but I had another with SD = 5 for 25 shots. It had somewhat equal up and down slopes but several 4 to 5 FPS jumps or dips.
The one above has a shorter up slope and a fairly consistent decline. I especially like the 1st 10 shots having SD = “2”. If I ever shoot to kill small game, I’ll have confidence in that setup.
The 1st 15 shots are all within 10 FPS. Is that considered flat ❓
I was worried that I’d need more like 920-930 FPS so thanks for your suggestions.
