Q:

green daytime laser

I’m looking for any recommendations for a green laser site or laser tactical flashlight combo. I like to mount it on the top accessory rail under the bore site line of my scope. I’ll be mounting it on AAA Condor with a 24″ barrel, but I’d also like to use it on a future 12″ barrel for out of vehicle work. Thanks for any help

Hoot, Thanks for the information I’ll save my money for more usable stuff. I had planned on teaming it up with a vortex red dot sight on an Evanix AR 6 pistol for fast target acquisition at under 25 yards on targets that don’t like to sit still very long. I figured it could speed up my getting target alignment. I love this forum there is just so much usable information available. Why make the same mistake when someone else already tried it. Hope I can return the favor for some one some time Thanks again

I’ll give this a shot.

I own a 100mW green laser and you cannot see it in the daylight. If you are close, yes the spot appears, but no beam. At any distance beyond 20 to 30 yards a green laser on a sunny day is useless. If you have a scope, then you can magnify the image and the “dot” will be visible for a good long distance.

Daytime lasers simply don’t work. Any that would could not be used due to power restrictions and human safety.

Incidentally, even the night vision IR lasers, the more powerful 1, 3. and 5 watt models can burn your retina if you turn them on and look into them. You won’t see any visible light, but the nanometer length of the beam will still fry your retinas.

The only practical laser, to me, is the beam focusable green laser lights for illumination of targets that are to be viewed through a rifle scope. Their concentrated beam can reach out a couple hundred yards and still not disturb most night critters.

Forget lasers. I’ve tried several of them and eventually sold every one.

This has been my experience and opinion. Your milage may vary.
