Q:

New Condor SS on the way tips for set up?

Hey y’all been sneaking around here for a while mostly in the hunting section an reading the book that was the thread on the matador and kricket, one day ill have one… Until then condor SS it is! My
Primary use will be 10yrd backyard shooting and bird hunting. So the massive fpe the condor can deliver is not as big of a concern. I ordered a co2 adapter to keep it backyard friendly with put hittin the tanks very 20 shots. Is there any advice on basic set up any body can pass on. I had a talon SS probably 12 years ago when they first came out but Honestly don’t remember much about it. Your experience and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again y’all I appreciate it. I’ll hopefully have a write up in the next week or so.

There is almost no muzzle report unless you’re shooting really light pellets that go supersonic, although the hammer slap could definitely be quieter.

I’m not sure about the lube, but I’ve heard these guns hate lube – if you do use it, make sure it’s not petroleum-based or it will melt the rubber o-rings.

I got the .22 cal I wanted the extra knock down power of the 22 with still being able to get reasonably priced pellets. Plus in hawaii the availability of .25 locally is very slim. Great ill be sure to check the set screw and I am happy to here you can get 30-40 shots on lower power settings. I had looked into getting a standard valved tank to get increased shot count with air and may still do that in the future. Does the venting under the Forend help with the muzzle report on the condor version like I have heard with the older models? I was curious because the new bushing has an O ring in it and it seems that it wouldn’t allow venting to the rear. Also and lube points to check?

When you first get it, make sure the set screw between the lower dovetail ~5 inches back from the endcap is screwed in all the way. Mine was loose and resulted in a major clipping issue that was entirely avoidable.

My sights needed major adjustment especially with the high rings, so try to at least get an approximate zero from close range before moving back to greater distances.

I can’t comment on the co2, but at power level 4 I’m getting around 35-40 shots per fill at 35 yards depending how much I fill and how low I shoot.

My biggest tip – buy a Maddog stock or Wokbutt/Wokguard, your hands and shoulder will thank you!
