Shorty Talon SS .25 barrel with SOUND-LOC?
I’m interested in a .25 barrel for my new .22 Talon SS. Is it possible or worthwhile to produce a custom barrel just long enough to use/relocate the original SOUND-LOC parts? Has anyone done this yet? My thought is this barrel would be longer than the exact .25 factory swap that fits inside the same frame. So, can it be done in 14″ or 16″ or ?

Problem solved: I gave up on the shorty barrel and ordered an 18″ and shroud from Tony. Looking to some fun times.
I don’t see how this sound loc system is working in your guns I orderred a kit for mine and my gun just spun the baffles around and made the shots inconsistant, my barrel was cut down from 14 in. to 12 1/4, so it would fit in the spacer, maybe I needed more space between barrel and 1st k baffle.
That’s pretty much the idea. If the OEM baffles take up 2″ of space, is there a way to have a 14″ barrel and just extend OAL by 2″ and relocate the baffles?

If you want to install a longer than stock barrel, you will have to remove part or all of the baffle system. I am babbling on the assumption that you do not wish to lengthen the SS any more than it is. I do not have the measurements of each K baffle section, but on the assumption they are 2 inches long, if you add a 14 inch barrel you will have to remove one of the K baffles and replace the spacer pipe with a piece 2 inches longer. The more baffles you remove, the louder it gets.
If you want a longer barrel AND quiet, you will need to add overall length.
If you decide to go that route, I am in the market for a barrel and baffles. 😉
