Just purchased a Talon SS in red.
I bought the talon ss, .177 tank loc, red today from pyramydair. Says back ordered… Anyone know how long the wait is?
I bought the AirForce bicycle pump too. I know about the scuba tank, but figured I could use the pump until I get a scuba tank, and when the scuba tank is low and I don’t want to make a run to the scuba shop..
I’m looking forward to shooting it!

tanks are cheap used. craigslist or dive shop. 8 bucks to refill them. i mean come on i love to work out but i like to relax when im shooting not pumping. we have a dive shop here that if you buy a tank from them for 200.00 its free air for life.
Shot around 50 rounds today in setting up scope and new Barska green laser…then recharged tank with Great White from Joe in a minute or two. Much better than 30 minutes of pumping.
I started out with a Hill pump and found myself doing more pumping than shooting my .22 Talon SS. Sold the pump and bought a Great White tank from Joe. The charge to fill the new tank to 4500 psi was only $12.00. I should have bought the tank in the first place.

i would personally not get a pump, you should be able to get a scuba tank for less than a 100 bucks, and wait for the 4500 psi scba 88 cu ft carbon fiber tank good deal to emerge,
i rented a scuba tank for a week of 2, while searching for a scba 4500 tank. i was not going to pump anything , i had been pumping air guns since i was 7 or 8 years old, that first spring gun was like magic.

They pulled a switch-a-roo on me on the pump. Instead of the Hill MK3, they sent the FX 3 stage pump. Keep it or send it back?
They received mine Back in New Condition. I pulled out the gun went from box then tank. Saw the tank said .177 it went right back in the box. May have my figerprint on it somewhere so someone will be getting new gun. Barring any FedEx Mishap I doublt it they are packed well and was double boxed…
Someone reported having received a .177 in stead of their ordered .22 and returned it right away.
Should still be in new condition if the extra shipping back and forth was without incident 🙄

I really don’t know why more shooters don’t skip over the .22 in favor of having both a .177 and a .25 ❓
I know, the .22 is accurate and a little less expensive to shoot than a .25 but for me, my .177 is accurate up to 50+ yards while the .25 would be far better for coyote or even pig. My .22 barrel stands in the corner with a couple thousand rounds awaiting resurrection or a new frame to call its own.
The sales reps called me a few hours after I changed my order to the hill pump and said they just got the black talon ss .177 in stock if I wanted one of them. He said said getting AirForce stuff in has been hard, and hes not sure when a red or blue would come in, but he could reserve me one now if i wanted to change to black. So he changed my order from red to black, should ship Monday!
I live near Lake Lanier, and there is healthy scuba community here. So tons of scuba shops and used stuff (craigslist) for sale all over. So, Ill get a good used scuba tank after my bank recovers from the initial impact of he rifle.
Hey, I use an AF pump! And you can rebuild them.
Having said that, the Hill pump IS a much better pump and well worth the extra bucks, especially if you are buying new.
When you are ready to switch to a tank, you might consider a 4500 PSI rig versus a 3000 PSI rig. It will cost more initially, but you will make fewer trips to the dive shop.

I completely agree. If you feel like getting a pump, get one that will last and that you can repair yourself 🙂

The AF pump is no good. Change it to a hill pump.

Tank and the set up, or fill whip may be cheaper then a pump, ask what you need and set it up.
