Power wheel not working on Condor SS with Altaros Reg.
I shoot jsb 18 at 810 fps when I installed Altaros reg on my new Condor SS. It’s kind of low. So I adjusted the Reg. to 125 bar as img showing.
Then I filled it to 3000 psi and tried 20 shots.
I set power wheel at 8.1 now. I got those.

then I set pw at 2.1 for another 10 shots

I cannot see any difference when I changed the power wheel.
I will test accuracy in this velocity. I know 850 fps is better for 18″ barrel. I’ll see.

Congratulations, you have a working regulator.
Stop and think about it..its the regulators job..to REGULATE the amount of air sent down the barrel.
As long as your hammer is hitting it hard enough to open the regs valve..it regulates.
If your only just tapping on the regulators valve..and not opening it enough..thats when the 500fps comes into play.
This seems to defeat the reason for a regulator..you could have done that with the power wheel..without the Altos reg.
Adjust the altos to get to your desired fps…forget about the power wheel.. 880’s looks like a good speed to me..
the reg with co2 is set at 2200 psi. So If I reset my Altaros to higher psi, the PW would work in my understand?
The co2 adapter probably has a lot more volume than the altaros one.
Because you had not reached the limit of the reg’s-out put.

I switched my condor ss tank with co2 adapter and regulated HPA tank I’m using on my talon ss. It shoots 435 fps at 0 and 835 at 12 pw. Altaros regulator and regulated Hpa tank work in same way, Why pw works so well on regulated HPA tank?
PW dosen’t work because you are using all the air in the chamber. You have to remember that you are opening the valve at a lot less press. Set it at 0 and it should work the same.
On my reg setup I get 940 fps with .25 JSB’s with 1800 psi reg but I have a large chamber after the reg. I shoot on PW 0 because it doesn’t change my fps at all.
