Q:

TD257 takes Yote! Me, DaveG, and a 30 cal! Fishing n Alaska

MAN, I AM IN “OUTDOORSMANS BLISS” right now and you couldn’t shoot me down with a RAY GUN! I’m so excited that I took the day off work today just to post this……lol!

Well, long story short and more to come on each topic:

1st: I WON a 4 day all expenses paid fishing trip to Alaska and caught my limit of Silver Salmon………WOOO FRIGGEN HOOOO! It’s always been a dream of mine to travel to Alaska to Hunt and Fish. I’ve completed one of those task and will be going back for hunting at some point.

2nd: Dave G called me and informed me that he would see me a 30 cal Trident actioned gun cause I wouldn’t stop BEGGING him…lol! So the gun came in the day I got back from Alaska. Oh man, by this time, I’m in serious outdoorsman’s overload.

3rd: So now I go out to shoot the Dave G gun and I decided to bring along my TD257. NO, NOT TO SHOOT AGAINST Dave G’s 30 cal gun but, to go on a little Yote hunt. And ohhhh my God, SUCCESS AT LAST. My 1st successful air gun yote kill.

I’ve been truly blessed but my goodness, this past week and weekend has simply put me in OVERLOAD mode. I’ve been completely successful at both hunting and fishing all in the same week. And oh yeah, I get to test a Dave G masterpiece too……lol!

STAY TUNED to my Blog for the complete stories on each

STEVEB,

Thank you kindly for the offer. I will keep you and your offer in the mental rolodex. THATS A FRIGGEN AWESOME OFFER SIR!

Tofazfou , If you ever want to try bobcat with that 257 let me know, My step son and I killed 8 of them last year. Season starts in October but we do better in November and hunt at night mostly we get them inside 50 yards often. I killed two with air rifle one with a maurader 25 cal and the other with my condor 25 cal.

I’ll go ahead and do a pic post… I’ll put it in the other guns since most will be ‘other guns’…haha

and yes! Spoke with the man regarding. Need to get with you on where to get some feed for that beast.

I second that 80.

Rob,

Bring your ass back here and post more often. Especially all the pics of your guns and food….lol!

By the way, something good is gonna be coming your way in a little while…… 😎

A huge fan of your write ups and vids.

Rob Eureka your still alive!!!! 😀 Haven’t heard from you on the forum lately but I do know you are a busy man. Glad to see your still around. 😉

Yes, sir…. In just about every day. Life got a little hectic on me, but should be settling down now! Been tinkering away with the guns and such. Rain here has been crazy and has put a bit of a damper on my shooting, but I’m around!

THanx guys for the positive words.

The Alaska fishing trip AAAAAAAND the coyote hunt were 2 adventures that busted my CHERRY…..lol! Both were learning experience I will never forget

I honestly knew that a coyote would be taken with my TD257 cause its the first airgun that I’ve ever popped a yote with even though the YOTE MIGHT HAVE LIVED through the shot. Back when I 1st built the Gun into a CONDOR 25, I tuned it to shoot at 80 FPE using Eun Jin pellets. Well, while jack rabbit hunting, I walked up on a yote that was only 50 yards from me. I aimed for the forehead and squeezed the trigger only to get loud thwock with very little YELPING from the DOG. I watched that SUMBITCH walk the desert floor and simply DISAPPEAR 😯 😡 😕 I never could find him even though I walked right to the spot were he disappeared. Even though I wanted to wrap that gun around the nearest Joshua Tree, I actually knew that one day, if I kept that gun, it would harvest me a yote. 7-8 years and many attempts in between, I knew the TD 257 was destined for yote greatness…lol! And it came true. :5: And its not going to end here. There will be more yotes and more video.

No video yet. I’m slowly working on it. Gotta go be daddy and hubby 1st each and every day………… :3:

Cedric,

I have to tell you that your posts are very uplifting. I live—somewhat—vicariously through your adventures. I have been dying to go fishing, and hunting here in my home state and unfortunately I have not had a minute for either. Thanks for posting this, and thanks for prompting me to kick myself in the ass once more over Dave G. A while back I traded Dave a BSA scorpion for one of his masterpieces but I simply did not have the resources to wait…I needed the money as we often do and I had to take an electronic payment to pay a bill in lieu of one day opening up one of his “priceless” works of functional art 😡 😥

I would love to see the video, but my computer is so damn slow lately.

Really wanting to know how that 30 does Tof.

Great job on the dog.

Killing a coyote with an airgun is one thing (a great thing, mind you), but getting it on video all by yourself while out hunting is really stepping things up. Glad you got the chance to fish Alaska…..what an awesome time I’m sure!

Glad to see Dave G sent that rifle for evaluation to “the right man for the job”. Eager to see what she’s made of.

Such a good post, and lots of views, buy only 2 replies so far=WTF??? 😕
