Nice evening at my range

This shows the 50m (55 yrds) range. My target is downrange and looks like a white spot. Phone camera … 🙄 See the Cuban cigar on the table ??? 
A good evening indeed: Warm summers eve,some shooting in peacefull solitary and a nice cigar!

This one shows the target. There are now 15 shots at every “dot” and every dot is 10mm (3/8″) in diam. I was shooting with a 10x fixed scope (MTC Viper) and the damned dots were as thick as the reticle. The conclusion : My weary eyes need more mag than 10x at 55 yrds. I´ve done far better though while i was still young,fit & horny…

I’ve see your backyard in other threads before and I’ll say it again DAMNNNN… nice piece of land you got there. Its really hard to find that type of land in Florida. Or should I say Orlando. There are some houses in the woods but they are crappy trailers. I think when I am near retirement, I’ll look up north. Got 30 yrs to save up 🙂 Will be nice to have a lake in the back with a dock.
I have twenty acres of common ground heavy woods going right up the steep side of an Ozark foothill but I still have to watch for an occasional Morel mushroom hunter in the spring crossing through the woods in back. I see deer, turkey, coyotes, fox, raccoons, opossums, skunks, Armadillos, and a rare bobcat in my backyard but my dream is to see a black bear since we have a restocking program in the state and I am at the very northern tip of their range. So far the closest one spotted has been about ten miles to the south. Across the street in front of my house is heavy woods going up another hill. We are in the valley. 😉
I can actually hunt from the electric adjustable bed when the back is up and watch HD tv on a 50″ screen at the same time when I am feeling extra lazy! 😀 (my son bow hunted right from that deck but we have to pull the bait ten days before hunting season begins. He got a turkey a few years back)
BTW – that old rusty piece is the premiere sparrow slayer. Only my Stubby with the 12″ .177 barrel on competes for such a title. Our wind is so low in the valley the .177 does very well.

You guys are lucky…you have enough room to shoot far ad just behind your targets you have shrubbery…
My house sits on an acre of land. But The Ed of my property is sectioned off by just a very thin tree line…and after that is my neighbors yard….now I have more than 50yrds from my back porch to the end of my yard but I need to find away to shoot targets without pellets flying across my property line AND without my adjacent neighbor seeing me shoot in his direction.

Nice backyard range ! I wish i had one of those but my range at my house reaches just to 30 yards. The range i was at yesterday is about 5 min. from home. Three if i floor the pedal on my wickedly fast, strikingly orange Audi S3R … 😀

Thanks – my parents and sister-in-law both lived on different lakes nearby for the last 25 years so I never had the urge to buy a boat when I could just borrow one. 🙂 Lake properties can be a TON of ongoing work and expense.
