Lapping a barrel
1. What procedure does everyone use?
2. Hand, Fire lap?
3. Do you rub between two plates and then fire. What grit do you start and end with?
4. How do you know when its smooth enough or do you do a fixed amount of shots.
Ive noticed some slight tightness for the first few inches (breech) in the condor. They happen to correspond where the barrel OD is necked down and can actually faintly see it in the barrel. Not sure I can get a good pic of it. Choke is cut off. Also the barrel just doesnt pass the slugs too smoothly. Hoping to smooth it out some.
