Polished barrel?
So, I was doing some lite reading today and I came across a link ( http://www.seventyninedesign.com/shoot/Stealth/home.htm) in that link I was reading though the information I came across another idea submitted by the writer ( http://www.seventyninedesign.com/shoot/Stealth/barrel.htm) which started to make me wonder how good of an idea is it to polish the barrel? As well as what overall effects it would have on the gun?

I do also many times polish the interior, or bore of a barrel. Especially one that is going to shoot lead bullets. It really cuts down on leading. RC. or RoachCreek has posted extensively on the benefits of this in the .257. Getting many more accurate shoots before cleanings. 😉
When I firelaped my .257 barrel, it cut group sizes down by more than half! It would lead up with in 15 shots and go to hell, futher making tight groupes impossible. After firelapping, it will now easily go 50-60 with fine accuracy.
So yes, Posishing the BBl. Works well! :8: But as with all things, it helps to kinda know how to do it. RC posted this as well.
