Q:

Hawke scope problem

I just noticed my illuminated red reticle isn’t lighting up….the green comes in fine…now I know it’s not the battery because it takes more power to turn on the green light than the red…plus I just replaced the battery…..
What do you guys think?….contact hawke or is it something simple to fix?

Oh – if you want problems buy an expensive Bushnell and then try to get it repaired. 😯 I got much better service on an old BSA 22 scope that croaked that cost $40.

No this incident I’m talking about happened with my nikon digital SLR…

The US Hawke distributor did that or some other manufacturer? Leupold’s warranty is written the same way.

quote Urgirlinmyjetta:

Very good to know…i just don’t like the part
replace the product with a “similar product”. I’ve had that done to me and they gave me a lower model…they didn’t want to upgrade me being that the product that I had wasn’t made anymore.

Considering the Hawke Warranty is now lifetime and transferrable I would hope so. 😀

HAWKE® Limited Warranty (U.S. and Canada)

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Subject to the limitations noted below, all Hawke® products carry a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. If a product proves to be defective, Hawke Sport Optics, LLC, at its option, will repair the product, replace the product with a similar product or provide a refund of the purchase price

Who is Covered

The Hawke® Limited Lifetime Warranty is transferable

Well I sent Them an email…I’ll see how it goes…it’s not a big problem but than again it’s still under warrantee so might as well use it.

Ditto on contacting Hawke.

Those tiny switches usually go two ways. One direction for red and one direction for green. You might get a flashlight and see if one of the contacts is broken or not located properly. Other than that, I’d ship it back.

I have never had one fail on 6 Sidewinders. I leave them on once in a while. 😳 I’d give then a call since they are so responsive. Its probably the switch which wears.
