Q:

Little help adjusting my cricket – conclusion

Just wanted to tell how my regulator issue paned out, with a little help from Steve at Wild West Airguns. I did the simple ½ turn adjustment that Ernest Rowe shows in his video, but when I did it, it was a total bugger to budge the adjustment screw, and I think something went amiss in the internals of the reg… torn O ring maybe? Ernest had mentioned that he had gotten a spare reg from Steve at Wild West, so I called Steve thinking I would do the same before taking mine apart. Steve offered to take a look at the reg at no charge – even though I didn’t buy the gun from them. Long story short, when they got the reg they were slammed, so Steve took my reg and sold me a new one for $30.00. The new reg was shipped out the same day, along with some other stuff I needed, and I had it back in the Cricket 3 days later. This was my first dealing with Steve and Wild West, but it certainly won’t be my last 😀

One last note – Wild West has the hammer spring adjustment knob in black now. See photo below.

Cheers,

Don

xbangu yes correct probably we have similar set the cricket now 😀

I just adjusted my HST again and now I am getting 5 mag or close to 5 mag and just like your, my last 5-6 shots are in the 860. I’ll try to do a string, when I have time.

xbangu – 929 fps with the hammer spring all the way in.

I still appear to be getting around 60 shots from a 200+ bar fill. The only gage I have is on the tank, since my Cricket is an early one with the silly colored gage, so I hope the tank is correct. I did have some real frustrations with my ProChrony today, I think the sun was too low and I kept getting Errors that did not record, and never got a great string, plus the fact that I was screwing around with my hammer spring adjuster to get the gun to shoot closer to 880. My last string was only 40 recorded shots (out of around 50) and my extreme spread was 27! Not what I was hoping for. The High was 899 and the low was 872 with an average of 878.

My cricket is set to 880fps. I have my experience from 200 bar to 105 bar I get 5 mags but 6 last shots from last mag is slightly lower approx 860fps but it doesn’t impact of POI for 50meters. When I fill it to 220 bar I get 6 mags.

How many shots is possible to got from standard EDGUN .22 cal ? There is approx similar air capacity.

also, since you will doing a string. What is your max fps with the spring all the way in at the current reg setting. I want to compare to my crickett. Thanks!

I’m hoping to do that in the morning. Did a test earlier today but lost one of my strings so I have incomplete data. It appears that I got 60 good shots in the high 880’s to 905 fps. Three of the strings had extreme spreads of 8, 11, and 13 but I think it was wider in the 60 shot group. I lost the first string and I know some of the shots were around 880.

How about a string shots from 200b to off the reg for us here….How many shots are you getting form 200b?
thanks,

$35 SEcoda.

Good deal. What do those black HSA knobs run again?
