Condor SS Scope Mount issues
I got a Condor SS a few weeks ago from R&L Airguns and finally had some time to sight it in today – or try to anyway. I removed the scope from my Talon SS and mounted it on the Condor SS with new BKL high rings. I shot at a target about 15 feet away and it hit left and about 8 inches low. I could’t believe how low it was – and after using up all the vertical adjustment in the scope it was still 3 inches low. I’m gong to move the whole setup (without removing the scope from the rings) to my Talon SS and see how that lines up but something seems wrong. Can the barrel axis and rail really be out of parallel by that much?

Is it consistenly grouping?
Could also be a clipping issue with baffles.

If your bushings fit the barrel and frame loose when you tighten the screws it will push the barrel up and to the right.
Thanks. So i can remove the barrel and check to see if it’s not right and get it fixed under warranty. What kind of clearance between bushings and barrel/bushing and frame should i expect? A couple thousandths? I can measure the frame iD at the muzzle end and assume it’s constant…..
Yes, at 15 feet away from target i would expect around 3 inches low with the scope vertical adjustment centered, not 8 inches as I got. Not sure what you mean by “think about it”.

15 feet? really? The centerline of the scope and the barrel is about 3.0 between them right? 15 feet? comeon man. comeon man think about it.

Yes, i’ve since shot at 25 and 50 yards and it groups well. Head shots on chipmunks at 50 feet are no issue. I put a canted scope mount i had hanging around on it but i’d still like to get it right so i may contact Air Force and see what they say.
