Cricket .30 cal shot groups @25Y, 38Y & 75Y
finally had time to shot some groups. wow this takes getting use to shooting her, a lot more recoil and barrel flit then the.25, after starting to get use to her around 200 rounds the groups started to get smaller. I lowered the speed to around 822fps and this was the most consistent speed. The 25Y and 38Y are 5 shot group, and the 75Y are 10 shot group. This tells me that the machining of the bushing from 16mm to 14mm to mount the smooth twist barrel was right ON dead center aligned!
I think some of the fliers was mine, still getting used to her. I think the barrel need to be 2 1/2″ longer to get more FPE because the regulator is almost at the max limit, and this regulator wasn’t designed for this caliber. That said —> I want one. next testing will be a longer LW barrel—> SOON!

I heard there is an availability issue with getting many of the ST barrels. I think the accuracy could also be related to the regulator set near max and some velocity variability. Earnest indicated it improved when he lowered velocity a bit. I see a bit of vertical stringing. Given Earnest credentials I’ll go with gun error.
The groups are fine.
Might be some shooter induced error.
Might not.
Too soon to tell.
I appreciate you keeping us up to date as you ring this rifle out.
