Q:

Cricket .25 cal set at 59/63 FPE groups/shot string

Like to show what it look like when set at this speed, Kings are even stable and accurate and has the most consistent shot string. after shooting around 1024fps I will never go back to 890fps. The Kodiak are accurate even though the shot string has extreme spread of 23fps, its so fast to 50Y it has no time to spread out. For hunting I can deal with the shot count. This .25 cal is highly tune so don’t expect same speed/accuracy results with yours. Click on photos to enlarge

10 shot group.

12 shot group.

Thanks to those posting the fill pressures and performance info.

Hoot, you can learn from that experience: it’s not worth repairing your Depends because you have another option right in your house…
Forget ye not the red pantaloons! Just stuff some paper towels in them and you’ll be both protected and stylish! 😛

It is not ugly it was crazy producing long barrel and long air cylinder with short forearm 😡 I wrote this thing many times here. Now kalibrgun making longer forearm on them. Original shaft for cal.25 from Russia were longer but in the Czech they not able to produce it longer forearm on the beginning…

Thanks for posting such fine info and groups. What were the starting/ending fill pressures?

Yes, the kings can be accurate at over 1000 fps. It is when they are shot futher down range,=100 yards and further that the higher velocity starts to show it’s inherent un-stable ways. 😥

But at the short ranges you have pictured here, they do very well indeed! 😀

Not impressed with the Kod’s group though. 👿

Not sure I understand this; the pellet is going slower the farther it travels. If it’s accurate at 50 yds., why not farther out (besides the outer limit of the diabolo-style pellet, shot very long ranges)?

Should be getting a .25 Cricket, shipped Mon., so am eager to hear from owners what they’re discovering.

Fill pressure 220B—->End pressure 140B

Will post photo with new longer forearm skeleton Stock, I think the short standard stock are ugly on the .25

😆 and never do it while your wearing the Depends.

I wish I was smart like Ernest! He’s probably good looking too!

Here I sit…70 years old, can’t see too good, not gifted in any particular way, prone to accidents. I started a small house fire yesterday trying to thread a needle. You’d think that’s not easily done…

I had started to sew up a rip in a pair of Chinese made, reusable Depends, when the thread popped on me. NEVER use a MAPP gas torch to see to thread a needle!

HEY! It’s NOT funny. In my defense, it probably happens more often than you realize.

Regards Ernest…nice work!

Boggy –
I’ve got my .2 Cricket set at 945fps avg with Kings for 75 shots, 14fps E.S., and 3 S.D. Fill to 250bar and shoot until reg drops off at 110bar. Deadly accurate; probably within .2 ctc at 27 yards for all 75 shots! Easy enough to set at higher velocity, with of course a reduction in shot count. These airguns are very easy to work on! 😀

That is impressive.
What did you do to tune it?

lead lap barrel to 14,000 grit.
polish barrel 50,000 grit.
Regulator modification
Valve porting modification
HST adjuster modification
Music wire spring
hammer polish
air port modification.
and so on!

Good groups. I agree in that I don’t see the accuracy deteriorate with the .25 caliber JSB Kings like I do with the .22 JSB 18s at velocities much over 920 FPS. My Condor with the R&L Airgun Extreme valve is tuned down to shoot Kings at 1000 FPS right now and is very accurate out to 100 yards – just slightly less accurate than my Air Ranger or Matador .25s but I attribute that to the LW AF barrel and velocity consistency since it matches accuracy at 900 FPS with the Hi-Flo valve in the same setup.
