What’s the best way to load/operate a bullpup
I had some target time yesterday with my D-max bullpup and although it’s a joy to operate when hunting the MMC requires lifting the gun from my benchrest support for cocking. So, I started thinking of what would be the ideal and easy way to cock a non semi-auto bullpup. My Viking has a sideknob attached to the hammer. It’s easy to use and shows whether the gun is loaded or not, but it means that I need to lower the gun a bit to cock it. I believe the same goes for normal bolt action and sidelever. This leaves us with something that can be operated with your left hand (or right hand for lefties) from the front of the gun. There are some pump action cocking guns like Hatsan but I hear they require quite a lot of power to cock. Calibr Colibri seems to have a simple pull back bolt on front which might be a good idea but again might require some effort to pull back. How about if we moved a cocking lever to the front left side? It should require little effort to operate and should be easy to flip with your left hand. It could be attached to the rail support of most bullpups. Maybe even biathlon style lever that swings back to front position? What would you think as an optimal solution (besides semi auto)?

Most of us here can barely read and write, much less comprehend what you are saying. The smart ones hang around over at that
other section, and talk “technical” to each other. We view them as a bunch of perverts, but they are handy when you need something
