Q:

I Am Impressed!!!

I recently took apart my Talon SS valve assembly/ has a 3/16″ shaft with about a 1/8″ hole/the plastic part that actually seals off the air looks fragile and retains the end of the valve [retained end of valve has grooves that are grasped by the seat] No outside seal to retain the air=Ho-hum, sorta reminds me of my ARS6, nothing special….

Very Impressed with the CO2 valve assembly! Ordered off eBay; received it yesterday, took it apart today..WOW! Very good engineering/design and manufacturing! This valve is a full 1/4″ in diameter/and has a valve retainer end cap that has an o-ring that seals the OUTSIDE of the shaft!
The CO2 valve port looks big enough [stock] to be in one of those high ft. lb. cast bullet air rifles…which makes me wonder..since CO2 guns are mostly for close range; and hi-power shooters usually go straight to the Condor and hi-ft. lbs. Are they aware of the potential of the CO2 valve assembly? With a change of spring and blow-off valve, and maybe a one-piece valve…? Just curious about that.
Because I will want my SS to have as even shot string as possible, it will be regged And I will use this CO2 valve assembly, too.[If possible] Later, Gerald

TH
he difference I remember is that the valve stem guide hole is shorter and may not give as much support to the stem. it looks like it will allow more air to exit but may be harder on the stem.
