Q:

33 FPE Compact Cricket shot string/groups

Got bored and wanted to challenge myself shooting at 33 fpe on the compact, as you know by now I love speed, all I need is more trigger time to get the groups tighter. She is 28 1/4″ long with Neil CF shroud. Yes pulled one to the right. 2 full Mag is fine with me, love the shot action with more fun for me!

That’s perfect and nearly exactly what I do most of the time (bird and chipmunk). I use my standard .22 Cricket quite a bit but then use Stubby with the .177 barrel when I want it quiet (we all have a few acres so noise isn’t much of an issue). It is set at 900 fps (19 fpe w/ JSB 10.34s), though, and I’m sure a bit louder than your setup. It is also single shot. That is why I have an interest in a .177 Cricket too.

I set it for my back yard sniping 50Y and under with no wind 1/4″ group at over 150 shots. have a lot of neighbor’s and building, shooting pest birds and nuters easily at 50Y, the impact noise is so quiet that I feel vary comfortable with enjoyment not to disturber anyone.

Now that is a bummer. 🙁 What kind of accuracy do you see at 50Y or is 10 fpe to low for that range?

quote sniperlabyo:

No, have 1 in standard set at 10fpe. last time I ask they don’t make them in compact size.

Very nice. Do you have a .177 compact as well?
