Q:

How to clean cricket .22 barrel?

Do I need to replace the barrel o-ring when cleaning barrel every time? do I need to take the breech off to clean the barrel?

Oh, you own Cricket which is not easy to disassemble the bolt assembly to use the cleaning rod, if you could that Dewey cleaning rod is perfect, So, your choice is correct.
but usually Rod can clean the barrel easier & quickly, because using brushes with cleaning rod is easier than pulling wire.

I believe cleaning is very important for your rifle inside and outside, but BE AWARE THAT DON’T USE OIL BASED PETROLEUM FOR CLEANING INSIDE THE PCP RIFLES ONLY SILICON GREASE ONLY ( SILICONE GREASE ) LIKE BELOW;

Thanks all for good advice. weed wire and pull through stew are good ways to do. There is a o-ring at the end of barrel. I’m wondering if so many passes through the barrel could get the o-ring damaged and oil left in the airpass to the valve if no removing the breech

Here there is an Election processing today, and the government has announced the official holiday from the last Thursday till Sunday, So, i have to wait and actually the importer company is working for preparing the paperwork for the custom, SO ALL I HAVE IS WAITING TILL NEXT THREE OR FOUR DAYS.
Hopefully everything will be okay and get my dream air rifle, which i am trying to get it two years.

If your just using cotton patches pulled through from the breech the o-ring is good for a long time. You may not need to clean the barrel very often. It isn’t like a firearm. I have cleaned my Cricket barrel 3 times in 2000 shots and the first one was before I shot it so it is 1000 shots whether it needs it or not. If you see accuracy start to drop off then I would clean it. Competition shooting may be a different matter. The stock hammer forged CZ barrels in the Crickets are pretty smooth from the mandrel used vs a cut or button rifled barrel like the LWs.

My personal opinion to you is;

the first & the most important thing you should take it into consideration is, NEVER NEVER USE BRASS/BRONZE BRUSHES FOR CLEANING THE BARREL IF AN O-RING HAS PLACED INSIDE THE BARREL :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

use the good bore cleaning, see below link;

use nylon brushes like;

use pure patches, see below link;

about the oil, there are ;

Ballistol Lube, Aerosol Spray

or you can check by yourself.

hope this helped Charlei.

Use a drinking straw and slide it into the moderator until it gets to the barrel and use it to fish the end of the line out the front end. That way you don;t have to remove the mod and potentially change your poi when you screw it back on. 😀

Unscrew the silencer then clean with a proper cleaning device from the breech end. You’re gonna have to cock the lever to gain access to rear of the barrel. I recommend a cleaning patch secured to a weed-eater line long enough to pass through the barrel instead of a rod to prevent marring the barrel’s rifling or crown.
