What if an Edgun reg is installed in a Cricket?
and vice versa, what if a Cricket reg is installed in an Edgun?
which combination produces the best result?

Sir Ville, That should work just fine but: you would need to add a gas check to the base of the slug to keep the after burner exhaust gasses from melting the slug’s base and leading the barrel.
I myself wonder if i could change the barrel for a Bofors Howitzer barrel and take a reg from a Jet Fighter after burner to propel the “slugs” at 3000 fps. Can the WST stock withstand this without bursting into flames? Anyone in-the-know here ??? 😯
Could I shoot these 17 mm 500 gn pellets if I change barrels?
Would the reg have to be turned up, is there enough adjustment on the hammer spring?

Yes I’m kidding, cast 12-15 lbs of these today and was thinking how much they looked like pellets so I threw a few in a tin.

Because both have excellent regulators, there would be little to no difference, provided they would fit, which is very unlikely.
Regulators don’t do all that much, but what they do is critical to the function of that particular pcp. It would be unwise to change out a high end pcp regulator for a different regulator, because you are removing a regulator that was custom designed/set for that particular pcp.
Now, hammer springs, valves…that’s another story.
Let the tinkerer beware!!! Mistakes can be very costly.

Marvellous! I´ll order one from Lockheed during tomorrow. Do you think that molten lead could be a health hazard or there´s guide lines for it from the Surgeon General ??
BTW – Do you have any experience in changing the Matador barrel for a drinking straw ? I´m balling with this idea to swap the entire air-tube/reg & valve assy for a slightly used,but in good condition, hair dryer. Insert the pellet into the straw (cheaply obtained from example Mc Donald´s drive-thru) and let the drier heat the air inside the straw, behind the pellet while plugging the muzzle-end of the straw with (partially eaten) Chicken Mc Nugget untill the heat will build up a pressure powerful enough to propel the pellet accurately at the target. The straw will actually be like the FX smooth-twist barrel without any rifling in the first part of it – untill it reaches the part where the straw can be bend. That should provide enough twist to a 25 gr pellet.
I still haven´t figured out how to make that into a multi-shot but leave it at me … It will come to me, eventually.
