Is new Sound-Loc system included in new Talon SS?
Retailers selling the Talon SS do not mention “Sound-Loc” baffles in features or descriptions. Are those baffles included in Talon SS now being sold for $575,00? I asked PA and AirGunDepot salesmen on the phone and they did not know.

CO2 needs a special adapter to fit standard paintball tanks. Here you go….

Just got my Talon SS from the sale at Airgun Depot and it had the Sound-Loc system and a note that said all AF Talon and Condor SS models made since April 2013 have the new Sound-Loc system. :8:
Brian what caliber did you get and what kind of accuracy and velocity with the CO2? I am giving my son a .177 for Christmas and since he is just starting out in life and working towards buying a house he has a small budget for fun things so i thought the CO2 version would be just the ticket for him to start out with and keep the cost down by not needing a scba or scuba setup to shoot.
R&L two day’d me a new valve. all I had to do was pay to send the old one back. Nice folks. and I’m enjoying the Talon SS whisper quiet on CO2. Brian
New Talon SS arived on the brown truck. Yep sound loc. I’m pleased about that. However I wanted to shoot it on CO2 and the threads inside the CO2 adaptor will not allow the tank to screw in far enough to work. I went to the sporting goods and bought a differnet tank and no go. That is a bit discouraging. I’ll have to call AF in the morning. Brian
The AirForce website claims improved sound suppression for 2013 Talon SS. The baffle kit is suggested for “early” model Talon SS. I’d bet lunch that 2013 Talon SS comes stock with Sound-Loc baffles.
I just ordered a Talon SS from R&L today. I did not ask. Now praying for sound loc a little late. 🙄 Brian Smith
PA – Have used them before, never any issues. Will probably end up doing business with sight sponsors to customize it later.

ymmv, man in brown truck gave me a Talon SS today – just opened it up, it has baffles.
I added Marmot Militia moderator to my Benji Woods Walker and it is ALOT quieter than the SS with sound-loc!
But if I take the moderator off they DO sound about the same. Pretty discrete for backyard plinking

Yes big difference with the kit installed. I might port my frame but not sure yet. I would say it is on par with marauders i have heard tuned at the same velocity.
Thanks ldp, that information was hard to come by. 😀 You would think those selling AF would know. Could you tell the difference with the baffles?

I ordered the adapter and put it on the gun and it did not impact accuracy at all only lower velocity. That 12″ .177 i put together for him is deadly accurate and i almost kept it for myself
he has already had some fun with it.
