Non-lead pellet for Edgun– CA banned lead today
So, today California has started the ball rolling on banning lead ammo for hunting.
I’m kind of in shock. But it won’t be enforced till 6 years from now.
So, I guess it’s not too early to start looking for the right non-lead pellet, or thinking about adjustments to the Edgun itself.
What non-lead ammo will shoot out of high-velocity PCP’s, especially the Edgun that is designed with JSB lead in mind.
Anybody ever shoot them out of high-powered PCPs?
Are non-lead pellets accurate to a hundred yards. What do they do to the barrel? Are “green” pellets just plain any good?

What’s interesting is their supposed reasoning behind it yet nothing about all the lead weights fishermen lose In the water supplies. Just another way to erode the 2nd.
