Q:

Just how quiet are Tony’s Shrouds ?

How do Tony’s shrouds compare to the Benjamin Marauder on a Talon SS if both are in .22 cal ? I have the Marauder to go by. Any feedback by folks that actually are shooting one of his shroude on a Talon SS would be appreciated.

Ever screw on the gun should have loctie on it. That will solve your problem

Well, almost two years have passed since I bought my TT shroud. It is much quieter than without it and the only thing I can fault it for is that the set screw has gouged a hole in it. If it isn’t tight, the pellets start to mainly drop and eventually fly all over the place. It’s a simple fix when I notice the pellets straying about to re tighten the set screw, I’j just concerned about damaging the end of the shroud. Great unit though, really settles things down.

I’ve doing some scientific testing on this and will get back to you guys later. I used Adobe Audition (30 day trial) to record .22 Marauder, TalonP, TalonP with 9″ TT shroud. I recently got another shroud from Europe and will be testing that soon. Will post results soon so stay tuned!

You won’t regret it, I have it on my .25 and it’s damn quiet!!!

My TT shroud works well, but my gun has so much oomph behind it that it still makes quite a bang when i shoot it. Well, more of a thump sound mixed with a click.

I only pulled the trigger once without it on, so i cant really give an accurate description of how well it supresses the sound.

Just installed the shrud on my gun. No BS, they really are as quiet as firing without air in the cylinder. Tonyis a true craftsman as well as a gentelman to deal with. Quality is first rate !

Thank you Tony

Hoot, I bought the darn thing already . Just have to get home tomorrow to see just how quiet it is. I can’t wait ! I’ m out of town at the moment and can’t wait to test it out.

Tony was great to deal with and even sent me a shipping confirmation email as I had asked him to do.

Does anyone have good close up pics of one of tonys shrouds ?

It looks like it’s part of the shroud. Just buy the damn thing already, and be done with it. It’s well worth the money, no one makes a better one, and the added length is the only drawback, but no one has figured a way around that.

Kind regards….

PS: Avoid the “paralysis of analysis” on such things. You can go crazy!

Im back and forth with Tony about one now. Going to put it on a Talon in .22 cal. With the 12 ” barrel and factory soundlok AND one of Tony’s 9 in shroud…….all you should hear is the hammer fall and the pellet strike. Should go good with the Pulsar and a few critters.

Jamie, we have seen several posters here that thought their AF Gun didn’t fire, or fired way under power the first time they shot their gun with one of Tonys shrouds. I got a Used Tony Condor in here for sight in a couple of years ago, and I too thought it didn’t fire. Hell, I even checked the bore for a stuck pellet first! 😳

DAMED QUIET!!!!
