Q:

A big thanks to Ernest for all his help

Just wanted everyone to know what they allready know, Ernest has been helping me out with my Cricket to get the regulator set up, and ofcourse I watched all his videos to change out all my orings. I have had mine apart several times and ran into some problems on a few things I wasn’t sure about, so I asked Ernest for help and he did just that, and got my Cricket shooting at an average of 885fps with very little deveation around 5! I don’t have a shot count yet but I am looking at 4 magazines plus I am guessing the way it went today just running it through the chrony that 60 shots would sum it up! Anyway thanks Ernest, you are a great guy to share all this information. I was a machinist for 40 years and have a small lathe and mill so if you ever need something let me know, Thanks again Eddie.

I guess we are cowboys. :horse: They get pretty excited here if you drink and drive but are kind of loose on most stuff unless you are really abusing it. It seems everybody near me on the road is always texting and that scares me more than speeding. Both of my kids have their own traffic attorneys but they have gotten better now that they are over 20. 😆

Can´t be done here. They´ll suspend your license for 1,3,6 or 12 months and give you a heavy fine. If you loose your license for 12 months you need to go back to driving school and do it all over again. Mind you – a license costs around 3000 USD nowadays …

I have a radar/laser detector (also a prohibited item) but i don´t always remember to put it on. Not that it can be trusted 100% anyways but it´s better than not having one.

My wife just got fined one month ago when she did 86 km/h on a 70 limit. That´s 10 mph too fast. Cost us 2400 Skr = 350 USD. If you get caught for speeding three times under three years period – even just that kind of smallish amount – you´ll get your license suspended 1-3 months time.

Sounds like fun. We have a real racket here where you can hire a lawyer and get out of any speeding ticket (except maybe 100 mph over the limit). It’s all about the money.

I have no complaints on mine. It only has 30.000km on the meter thus far but i´m satisfied. It doesn´t hurt to know few Audi co-workers either if one, by barring disater, would encounter problems with the car. The biggest problem to date has been the constant fear of loosing my Drivers License due “inspired driving”. It´s almost impossible to keep the orange little mule under the limit – anywhere. 320 hp, a light compact car and the newest gen of Quattro 4WD (that can throw 100% of the torque/power to rear axle) is monumental fun on curvy B-roads !

I am a big Consumer Reports guy and Audi now rates as reliable as my Honda. That was not always the case so I avoided them and BMWs. Heck my wife just spent $38k oh her Titanium so I am due. 😀

Audi designed the exhaust so it gives a real barky sound now in stock form . It resembles the sound my car has with the Milltek SS non-resonated pipes. My next door neighbors son works at Audi so i paid him a visit yesterday and we took a spin on the new S3. Almost as fast as mine. Almost …
During the years i´ve test driven every imaginable Audi when this guy borrows the demo-cars. Once he showed up in Maybach too!

He said next week. They start at $30k US which is actually very reasonable here and about $37k loaded. My wife cringes every time I mention a new car. 🙂

Cool on the package.

I just saw the brochure and photos of the 2015 Audi S3 at my local Audi dealer. Wow.

quote Sir Ville:

I don’t know before i open the package and see the invoice. I can mail him and ask though.
Once i get them i’ll sort them and i’ll buy the upgrades where needed. Just finished polishing the Cricket barrel, btw. Range day tomorrow!

How much? Did you do the upgrades Ernest suggests on some of the orings or just the stock ones?

I just ordered a complete o-ring set from the Finnish Cricket importer. So it does indeed exist…

Yes, many thanks to Ernest for all the informative articles, and videos he has posted re: Cricket bullpup. Helped all of us a lot. Thanks, Ernest.

he loves what he does you can be sure of that just by watching his videos, I am not sure if he makes these jigs for regulator work or has a machine shop do them, whoever it is they are top notch machine work you can tell by the looks of them and the fits for the regulator,he has a nice set up for setting the regulators for sure very nice! I now know my 22 cal Cricket inside and out, also copied Ernest list on orings and got my order in for some of those, I am anxious to see how the ones I put in hold up, I think my air leak I had to start off with was an oring that got installed bad, several cuts in it, it was the one on the front of the air tube that is on the threaded end cap so we will see how the new ones hold up. I was surprised how easy this gun is to work on once you get into it!

Looking forward to hopefully getting Earnest to do a rebuild & tune for my cricket .22
