Q:

CF shroud for the Roach !

I just got an E-mail from Scirrocco. A pic of my new CF-shroud for the .25 WST. Mine is , of course , the longest one 😎 … Looks good! The maker of these can apparently make them for whichever gun he wants judging by the Lelya with its own shroud/silencer. Good stuff !!

If it can dampen the noise from a diesel engine it should work for PCP as well.

Are you sure??? I’ve been filling it up with diesel since I got it but I thought it took forever for the smoke to clear between shots…
Perhaps if I switch to bio ethanol the smoke won’t be a problem and the multishot comes in to its own???
Please drunken Uncle enlighten me

So, how about us in Iraq being away from everything and still thankful for the little access.

i can say that my R3M is very quite & i on’t need the muffles. this time i am lucky, but i will need it if i have plan to buy an air rifle that needs the silencer.

And while you’re at it why not make room in the stock for the dampening so you can wrap it around the tube…

If you will examine my most excellent posting about making the Cricket silent, you can glean information on how to put a 1/4″ foam pad over the breech to dampen the hammer slap down by at least 50%, perhaps more!

The .25 has a heavy spring and it produces a goodly hammer slap and muzzle blast. You are half-way to success.

Re: Idea, need input

If some of the big words escape you, you can PM me, or the evil Dr. Krille. (why is he named after a marine crustacean???)

Kindly, and helpful to the ignorant…

From one “crustacean” to another, have you looked at bitumen soundproofing vibration dampening mat?

I have been quite busy lately with little time for my hobbies so excuse me for asking… who is Scirrocco?
Is he located somewhere in the EU, making shrouds?
I contacted Neill C. some time ago regarding a shroud for the Lelya but he had no interest in shipping stuff outside of the US so if someone is doing high quality work within the EU, please share with me.

Q

where in the eu are you?

Scirrocco is a member here under the name ……. (insert drumroll here) Scirrocco !! He doesn´t make them himself but knows the guy who do. Maybe he´ll make one for you as well. Contact the man.

I´m actually not after quieting the thing down as much as i´m after some special parts that make the action and everything as smooth as can be and add some bling at the process. I´ve read your odd foam-against-the face-fetish and i´ll try it just to see what happens.
Dr. Krille got his name due the size of his weenie and Dr. Krille sounded manlier than Dr. Shrimp. Both Krill and Shrimp are jovial Sea creatures so to honor Doc´s love for the Ocean he was aptly named “Dr. KrillE. 😯

But its is nice to have varieties.

But you guys have Mr. Neil Claque. His shrouds are piece of fine art it seems.
I´ll report my findings with pics when i get my sweaty hands on the item/items. There are some delrin HS guides and other bits on the way as well.
