New frame vs Old frame
I’m still trying to figure this out and I’ve been seeing some posts referencing the “old frame” or pre-new safety as being more desirable for modifications.
Can/will someone explain the differences or reasons for me?

Thanks for that explanation Doug. Being the newbie that I am, I don’t have the knowledge of those frame changes yet. You mention “the last version”, are there other versions as well? More searching to do!!

I like the last version before they redigned the trigger. The one where the bottle collar has a flange and drops in from the inside.
I have not had the chance or opportunity to modify a new frame into a .257 or .308. I’m not sure how good the new trigger is for heavy hammer springs.

There is the frame with no spinloc and 2 versions of spinloc. First one didn’t last very long. Second version is the frame I like and is the same on the newest frame except they changed the trigger setup on it.
