Q:

Best IR Flashlights for Night Vision by Rolaids Bench

Hi Guys,

After over a year of playing with all kinds of IR Illuminators for Night Vision I finally sorted out some top picks to help others in the search for IR Flashlights 😎 It is a very detailed video starting with IR for Night Vision 101 that explains safety and the technical and practical difference between 850nm and 940nm. (Some of my top questions asked)

Then it gets into a comparison of each light on a dark moonless night with cloud cover. I use both the Rolaids NV1.0 scope add-on and the Rolaids NV3.0 Scopeless so you can see the same IR light in each setup. This gives the best video footage I have made so far on the big difference between a scope and scopeless build.

Hope this helps!

Best one hands down T74,T66 https://www.facebook.com/Ir.light.builds.

It has just been too cold to play with the N.V. stuff outside, maybe in a month or so.

Any videos to share? Did you see that Nite Site they showed at the Shot Show?

My T-20 arrived, Wow, what a light !!! It is as good as Roland says and shows it to be !!!!!

Is there any new news as to when the custom T-20 IR lights will be available from the USA maker. Here is my set up so far.

Hallo Roland,
I was wondering whats the next step up in camera quality, from the popular watec or ej230? Love the videos by the way

You are correct – IR is not visible to us like red or green so think of it as a color that your eye can’t see but a night vision scope can. You can get a red or green and just use that if you don’t have the funds for NV setup.

If you are interested in purchasing one of my Digital Night Vision builds I am working with a good friend who is just getting started doing this for others. I get a lot of request but with my brain injury and very limited energy I have cannot do all the builds for others. Hopefully he will have a website up and running in a couple months. Until then…just email me at rolaidsbench@gmail.com if you want to buy a Night Vision setup.

Thanks,
Roland

Good video but us novices need some more information to be dangerous. So I have an Edgun .25 with a Hawke 8-32×56 and an Edgun .30 coming with the same scope that I want to use with night vision for my coon problem if possible (even if on 8x). If I buy a T20 what else do I need to work with the scope I already own without going broke? That said I have very little time to build stuff. My pesting situation is the woods behind my house and 50-60 yards max (an occasional 75) most of the time with 35-40 yards typical.

On the T20 red or green? I have found the coons less sensitive to green LED but I am a little confused is the T20 really IR if it is red or green?

Please give specific recommendations.

Thanks!!!
