Q:

lelya

I was wondering if anyone knows if the U.S. will ever see the edgun lelya again? emailed tony, he said he could put me on the list. I wish a little more info was available . I waited a year and a half for my matador, only to find out they were already coming out with a new model. Also has anyone heard any more about the kalibr hummingbird? any info is helpful.

You can get one. But you have to special order it.

It is too late right now for this order. I also know that ED is making it in .20 cal.

I had mine in .22, but sold it and got one in .177. I like it much better in .177. It is very quiet and plenty powerful with very good shot count.

I have mine set up to shoot JSB Exact Heavy 10gr at 815fps and JSB Exact 8.4gr at 880fps :5:

I placed an order for a .22 Lelya in April (this year) and it finally arrived and I will be able to pick it up next week.
I really look forward to this very unique rifle and will probably post some shot strings and overall opinions once I have had some time to play with it.

Piter; i really admire how to put such a great small bullpup in that backpack 😯 😯 😯 , i really like the compatibility of Lelya

quote PiterM:

which you can carry in a small backpack.

Lelya is like nothing else. It’s ultrasmall bullpup, which you can carry in a small backpack. And still with enough power for 100m shots and decent shot count (30-50 depending on power setting). I can’t recommend it more! It’s fun!

And if you’re looking for serious airgun for your kid – look no further! Just check my girl (8 y.o.):

thanks Hoot, always a pleasure to hear from you. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, talked to steve from Wild West, he said that cricket compact .177 is available may have to go that route . I already own a standared edgun and a .25 cricket, I was wanting something very small for my boy!!!!!!!

If you live outside of Russia, the Lelya is not likely to show up soon, and when it does, it will be in limited numbers. When received in the U.S. the caliber most likely will be .22, as that is most popular for our usage.

The Colibri is rumored to be released late this year. Remember, this is a rumor. The Colibri has no information available on performance, shot count, or available
calibers. Recall the Lelya is based on the Edgun pistol, the Veles, same valve, longer barrel. The Lelya will lack the power and shot count of an Edgun Short Matador. It’s design has not changed in years, except Ed started making it in .22 caliber due to requests from our forum. It provides adequate performance for it’s size in accuracy and small game hunting. The Edgun Short isn’t that much shorter than the Standard, and I’ve owned both. I’d get the Standard…quieter, better shot count.

So…you are asking about the two smallest pcp’s being mass produced, and which have the least information available regarding their availability. Even the dealers are supposedly out of the information loop on these two guns.

The available Kalibr Cricket Short is about the same length as the Lelya, but with more features, and more cost. ($1850 vs. $1400 USD)

There you have it. Get on a list now, don’t wait, if you go the Edgun route.
