Edgun matador sling

If you have a standard or shorter Edgun I think you might like the single point a bit better then I did with the long.
It’s a 6″ rail which I like because I can move bipod and sling mount back and mount my flashlight down there when I plan on evening hunts. Both units take up around 2″ of rail minimum. A 2.5″ rail would work fine.
Montana is gorgeous. Wife’s office is in Columbia Falls so we found nice place just east outside of Kalispell and North of Flathead lake in mountain base area. Area is good economy and houses/ land and rent are cheap compared to Ca. Veh registration up here is cheap. My $600 a yr dually reg is only $100. Next yr once it’s 11 yrs old its a $100 one time fee for lifetime reg. Plus no smog checks to pay for. No sales tax and lower state income tax. Plus if you like PB this is the place. Dam near anything you want.
Things are starting to thaw out nicely and warming up.
House is all unpacked and we are settled. I’ve got all my business stuff set up so I’ll be starting to drum up work soon.
Been nice to take a break after 24 yrs.

I tried a couple different single style slings and attachment points but ultimately went back to a two point attachment.
Rear stud in rear hook and front attached to picatinny rail just in front of bipod.
I carry through and over thick brush and rock for many hrs while stalking/hunting. Running strap crossed chest with gun over back resting snug into pack works great and never an issue to remove quickly. I prefer it back there instead up front.
Single point is fine for casual walk in open field or light woods with gun always at ready. But if Im hiking and climbing especially up and through rougher terrain I really prefer the standard sling to keep it securely on my back.

So has anyone attached a single point sling to their edgun or other bullpup. Some seem to have concerns whether or not attaching sling to scope rail may have a negative impact. What do you guys think and have any of you done this with your Edgun.

Anyone using a Magpul sling on their bull pup?
I am considering mounting hardware unto my Edgun long to accommodate Magpul MS3 multi-mission sling. Curious as to your likes and what sling mounting system one may be using, pictures would be great if you care to share. Thinking a single point sling attachment for hunting conditions while convenient and mobile enough to transfer back to a two point attachment for carrying on the shoulder when needed.

Also considering a picatinny rail on forearm to accommodate both an atlas bipod and a sling picatinny mount, but not owning this set up as of yet, I don’t know what length rail I would need as to keep the rail to its minimum size needed. I’m sure 4” is plenty long but wonder if 3” would suffice.

I’m either going with a screw mount at the rear and a weaver rail mount infer the barrel or go with something old school and use something that wraps around the butt and run a strap through one of the slots at the front. Depends as to wheather or not I decided to drill the stock. I’m not doing anything until I can get ahold of a decent bipod.

Edit::: anyone using one of the but late mount holes as a sling mounting point? I’ve been thinking that whe I shoulder the gun, the upper screw isn’t touching my shoulder so its not like I’d b interfering with shooting. Just a thought…
