Doing an EBR type stock. I already have the butt piece and locking lever assembly. Now I just have to design the rest of it once the rifle is done, tuned and shrouded. It should be pretty sweet when its done.

WOW dawson build… thats gonna be a sweet rig. have you got a stalk for it yet?

I will have to sleeve it, its actually going into a dawson 7071 aluminum action. The spec is a little bigger than stock theoben. If you’re looking to do a .30 condor check out voltar_1’s post on his vulture build… he did just that. He has posted numbers. If he hasn’t posted pics of his targets on here, he has on some canadian forums. Just Google vulture air rifle, should pop up.

Yup Im thinking of trying one in my condor… before I tear into my HM1000x ….. The barrel is a .590 OD .294 land, .300 groove with a 1:26 twist. They are Claiming MOA with bobs boat tail slugs and JSB pellets.

I wanted to play around with the .25 condor and see how it shoots and feels… (new platform to me). I think I’m almost ready to go .30

Are you having the barrel sleeved at the breech for your rapid? i believe they are around somewhere around .624 … If all goes well with the condor i may just do my HMX

No worries dman! And it would make logistical sense that edgun would go with a large barrel manufacturer like LW but I’m not sure if a .30 (JSB) barrel is available from them for public consumption yet. Of course I could be wrong. Talking to Alan Z though, the smooth twist barrels are good… its what I’m using on my .22 Rapid Elan tactical build. I wanted to get that .30 TJ as soon as I heard about it to try it out… numbers and accuracy looked good from the forums in canada. Plus the price was right… less than $160 for my application. Prices will vary though.

Isn’t the EdGun .30 a W/L that he is having made?

Knife

Thank you for the info.

I’ve got the point POC for the .30 TJ barrel. PM me.

Im not sure LW has a .30 airgun, for the JSB pellets… I think its a .308. I could be wrong. I have a TJs .30 airgun, but its going on a custom Rapid and that won’t be done for a little bit. From what I read, guys in Canada are getting good results. That’s where I got the lead for the .30 airgun TJ liner. The Canadians (I think) were the ones who worked out a twist rate and got a custom barrel made. There may or may not have been US shooter involvement with that, my brains a little fuzzy at the moment. Ill scrounge my emails for some contact info for you. The cost of the blank isn’t nearly as expensive as the ST blank.

I would really like to see some results with a .30 LW barrel. I have been giving very serious thought to a 16 incher for my TSS with a high flow valve.

As of right now nobody has a .30 barrel that is a proven shooter except the smooth twist. I had a LW here but didn’t have time to see how it did. I was building a valve for it.
