U can tune a fish, Can U tune an Edgun .30?

Now to all the way smarter guy’s reading this. Please go easy on me as I imagine I have made a mistake or too. This is a start. What do you say you take this and make it better? Because it is a compilation of many posts I have read that are all over the Bull pup forum and not only in one place like it could be. And because I won’t it correct, and understandable. Please post any addition needed. Or direction change. And I will EDIT this post. Keep in mind I am not always home or constantly monitoring a computer. I’m still a working stiff.

How to test and adjust the power on a .30 Edgun

1. Before testing the rifle over a crony shoot at least 70 to 80 shots through the rifle. More preferred.
2. Clean the barrel.
3. Check and replace the probe o rings if probe to breech blow buy is present.
4. Be sure the rifle does not leak before proceeding. (Fill the rifle with 200 bar and let sit for a day)
5. Fill the rifle to 220 or 230 bar.
6. Shoot into a safe backstop with a crony and record the shot count and velocity of each shot.
7. Every 5th shot record the pressure drop on the gage and include that with the velocity measured for that shot.
8. Shoot down to 140 bar. or 30 pellets.

Done with initial test.

Now on to reading the results and knowing where to go next.
A Rifle shoots in the mid 600 FPS range. Try tightening the HST. See notes below.
B Rifle shoots Hot over 900’s. loosen the HST. See notes below.
C Rifle shoots 880s and spikes upward at the end of the .25 shot string. Need help with this fellas ??
D Rifle shoots 880,s and rises slightly or drops off at the end of the 25 shot string. I think it is perfect in this case. ??

1. First remove the trigger guard screw and stock from the rifle.
2. Find the grub screw that holds the (HST) spring tensioner and remove it completely. (Unscrewing it a few turns may not be enough as you would think).
3. Before touching the tensioner make reference marks or take measurements from non moving reference points so you are able to put the adjustment back exactly where it originally was. Make a drawing and keep it in the kit with the rifle if you must. This is your Base point all adjusting occurs from, from here on out.

4. Threading it in towards the trigger compresses the spring. Tightning it.
5. Take note of how much you have adjusted the tensioner. I.E. one full rotation. Re-install the HST grub screw so the adjustment will not walk on you.
6. Now refill the rifle and shoot 10 shots over the crony to find any change in result.
7. Continue making and noting the amount of adjustment and refilling and shooting the rifle to find your rifles optimum performance in relation to its current regulator setting.
