Q:

Converting to 25

Can I convert a condor ss .22 to a .25 24″ barrel, and than most likely put a shroud on it?

Def looking for more shots I knew the 24 would get me more shots but didn’t know if it had any other benefits like range or accuracy difference.

Takes more air to get same fps in 18″ then a 24″. So if you looking for more shots then 24″ is the way to go.

So I currently have a .22 if I convert to .25 will I be able to keep the sound lock or will it be too small? So what I’m getting is the 24 inch barrel isn’t worth it for extra range or accuracy? What would shot count with a stock bottle be like on 18″ compared to 24. My plan is to go regulator and bigger bottle route. Maybe talk to dyotat and see if he’ll build me a sweet reg and chamber. I won’t be shooting anything more than enjoins with this as I plan to have someone build me a talondr for slugs in the future so .25 pellets and the eunjins will be it for this gun. So what would y’all recommend I do. Accuracy is my main concern if I can keep decent power for headshots on rabbit and squirrel at 100-110 yards that’s all I need for this application. And quiet is a must so the tt shroud is already almost bought in my eyes heard nothing but good.

I agree with John. My 18″ barrel gives me more fps than accuracy allows. The only thing you can do with the 24″ barrel is to get the same fps as the shorter barrel with less air so it will be a little more efficient than the 18″.

The real advantages are power and efficiency. Power you don’t need and can’t really use. My 18″ barrel is averaging 85fpe for ten shots with 43grn EJs. I broke 100 with the first shot the other day. On the other hand it’s effectively silent with A TT 6″ moderator on top of the factory sound loc. More power is great, if usable. You’d need in excess of 50grn to justify a longer barrel (as long as air consumption isn’t an issue.)

Awesome you guys are the shit. Another question with that, is the accuracy and range really worth the extra 6 inch barrel cause if I can I could get the 18 keep the sound loc and add an LCD for super quiet. What would the advantages be of the 24 as compared to the 18? the only advantage I can see of the 18 is for keeping the sound lock in the ss

“Y” Yes, Yes you Can! 😀

I would guess by the question he already was thinking about an added shroud. To answer youre question yes you can put a 24″ barrel in it and put a add on ldc or shroud or whatever you want to call it 😉

Max length for an SS is 18″. Any longer and you lose room for baffles. If you want to keep sound suppression, it’ll have to be add-on.
