Cricket Compact Shot Count?
Hi,
There does not seem to be a lot of people with Cricket compact, I don’t know whether that down to choice or availability.
However I have been searching the net but I’m struggling to find what the shot count of a .22 compact is compare to the standard.
Can anyone enlighten me?
I have a standard on order but i like my bullpups short hence contemplating the compact.

Does the Cricket barrel come pre-thread or did you have to it that yourself?
the .177 long I converted, us the long tube from the .25, use a long forarm stock with extra long CF shroud to make it extra quiet. set a 19fpe, last time I counted 15 mags and 160B remaining from 220b fill. goes off the reg around 110b.

as i can see in your signature, you have all Cricket Versions,,, what i want to know is where did you get the Cricket .22cal long Version?

she is 25.5″ OAL with the HW100 LDC
Weihrauch, was used on older HW100 without the full shroud. will post photo in the morning.
That is perfect. Who makes the HW LDC? Can you post a picture with that on it?

For backyard and up to 75y pesting , it’s my go to BP. the .177 impact is the quietest and get the job done. set at its sweet spot at 18fpe with JSB 10.3g. getting 70+ shots from a 230b fill to 105b. have a HW LDC–its quieter. even though its the quietest BP without it.

I know you have the special order Compact Cricket in 177 for a while now. How do you like it versus the .22 for say bird pesting? Noise? Count?

here’s a short count in different power level.
fill pressure 220b shooting 18.1g. the end pressure is all different because the reg pressure is set differently in all power level.
1. 32fpe around 28 regulated shots.
2. 28fpe around 38 shots
3. 25.5fpe around 55 shots
4. 21fpe around 130 shots
as you can see you get more shots at 21fpe, this one is tuned for shot count as per members request. the height of the bell curb of the unregulated air has been adjusted to match the current speed when off the reg. so it’s a combination of reg and unregulated air to get 130shots with a ES of 16fps. here’s the major adjustment to get 130 shots.
port enlarge and polish, barrel rifling polish, Valve stem spring change to lighter spring and 1/4 turn spring tension, reg set at 100b, hst spring change to lighter one. all spring washer in the reg has been polish, vary light slick 50 one lube on the washers.
I don’t recommend 12fpe on .22 the system wasn’t designed for that power level to have a tight shot string, a lighter spring washer is needed. have tuned a .177 at 12fpe and got 275 shots.

Those are still for sale separately, as spares, since they work so well. A very popular AG silencer here – although, lo and behold – silencer use on an Airgun is illegal in Sweden. :sadn:
That said i love your CF shroud. And mine too, for that part. I would never,ever use it though since i would be breaking the Law. I just have some shrouds at home, as Vases , purely decorational or as an occasional Bong. :whistle:
