Q:

Broken HST rod R3M .25

I went to fire my gun and on the second shot something wasn’t right. There was no force behind the hammer. I took it apart and saw that the rod that goes through the hammer spring had snapped off at the collar. I don’t know how to proceed to get that part or how many parts I need to get to fix it. Also would like a new HST screw, is there a good substitute for them. There was hardly any threads holding mine in and it looks like the set screw smashed the end of it.

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong with me, at least I should have a good knowledge of this gun when I’m done

thanks

thanks again!

He says he needs the length of both metal ends and plastic center. I’m sorry, but I don’t understand this, is he still talkin about the rod that goes through the spring and into the tension adjustment screw?

No.. he is confused and thinks you mean the valve stem.. send him a pic of your broken hammer spring guide. He has them in stock.

another lesson to learn… dont cock and fire the hammer when the trigger mechanism is removed from the gun.. if it didnt break right away it will break in the first few shots after refitting.. email Tony for parts.

Ed: I think we need a do”s and dont’s tutorial video…
