Q:

I just got an email from Pyramyd Air

They’re hawking the AirForce Escape line, including an SS model. It’s an interesting package, except for that mini-tank. Pyramyd claims 5-15 shots on a fill. I guess that’s useful if you’re hunting for lunch, but it really doesn’t seem practical in the long run.

The thing that gets me is AirForce, and now Pyramyd, are pushing the line for the prepper crowd, showcased by some wanker reality show freak. Really? I figure everyone should be ready for hard times, but what? Weather? Economic collapse? Political upheaval? I’d imagine I could go on listing potential disasters for a while. I don’t see that some entertainer’s idea of a bug-out gun’s gonna help much, particularly this version.

Point is, AirForce has invested heavily in what is really just the Talon line with a Condor valve in an undersized tank. If you’re reading this AirForce, resources might better be invested in eliminating frame flex, improving ergonomics (TTTA?), and better consistency.

Is pushing something silly to a new market really more desirable than improvements needed by a loyal customer base? Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door. Given the price of PB ammo, that path might become a superhighway.

Instead of improvements, we get a glitzy ad campaign.

I got a laugh out of Airforce statement that this reality star guy filled the escapes air tank in under 3 minutes with hand pump. That’s great if you want to pump after every 5 shots with power up. I know I don’t. The second I read about the escape I was thinking wtf airforce. I can’t see these guns doing well at all. Fail on airforce part. What a pity.

Love the Top Gear Show from the UK. The one made here inn the US Sucks.

Now to get back on topic, What the hell is wrong with AirForce??? Seem that they for what ever reason, gear their add’s and products to pimple faced teens. Pyramyds tv comercials are a sickening joke!

AirForce could be a real player in the world of pcp airguns. But for some reason, can’t grow up and take a real look at their own products.

I just don’t get it. Nor do I get their strange attitude when the subject is brought up to them. 😕

KERA in Dallas was the first US station to import, so I go way back. But nothing surpasses Monty Python. Benny Hill, of course, and some guy I can’t remember 😳 , Aussie, I think, who had a thing for the Pope. The Pope water skiing in a sedan chair may be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
