Mounting Leapers Scope
Good evening,
I have finally dropped some good coin on a decent scope. I just bought a Leapers 8x32x56 and need to mount it on to my Condor. What is the best mounting method. Also is this to much scope for a air rifle? I know it would compliment my 223 nicely.

Buy some good rings, don’t go cheap! You are also likely going to want high ones unless that big front bell will be sticking out past the scope rail and raise it to a comfortable sight line.
You might also seriously consider some that are adjustable for windage and most especially elevation. The Condor has enough legs to reach out there and many scopes do not have enough adjustment to compensate for drop, especially for longer ranges.
As far as being too much scope, it depends on what you plan to do with it. If you are into long range target shooting, it should be great. If you are hunting tree rats in the woods, you are likely going to be dialing it way back. My personal preference is 3-9 or 4-12, something along those lines. I bought a 6-24×40 BSA a while back but ended up not even mounting it and sold it. It was a real nice scope, but it was just too much power for what I needed.
