Crickets Have Shipped!
Steve from WWAG emailed me that the huge Cricket order has shipped from CZ or at least was picked up by the shipper. Should be maybe a couple of weeks now at most. :biggrinn:

Yes – delayed until summer. My bets are on late summer. I figure by fall I will be looking for something new. 😆

Any news on the Hummingbird?
Any news on the Hummingbird?
Yep – since we all share almost the same taste in scopes and all
Yes but the scope threads are fun. 😯
I vote for Leapers Bug Buster !! :biggrinn:
Haven´t we already had one of those ? Our departed Brother in Arms, Shanu had one and he bought that Leo Custom something.
I vote for Leapers Bug Buster !! :biggrinn:
I am in this dilemma too. I will start a Baby Cricket Scope thread…. 😛
Been there – done that ! The feeling of revenge is very satisfactory. “I told you Motherf…, POS to hold zero and look at you now ”
You have to admit it looks light though .. :biggrinn:
Some scopes are actually scopes and some scopes are actually targets in disguise !!
I have one for you; http://eu.hawkeoptics.com/xb30-crossbow-scope/hawke-xb30-crossbow-scope-125-4×24-sr.html
Might even make your Varmint look good!
I have ordered one of the Magazine/pellet speed loader boxed from the fella that advertised them this past Thursday or Friday, I will report as soon as it arrives, should work for all cricket mags the same.
Ya, your right I just ran 2x mags through the 16x Hawke and this is not enough mag. for me and the optics of this Varmit series scope are just too lousey to live with. I got to go re-assemble my 30 Ed today and then start thinking again about scopes for these crickets again. I guess I have double trouble now.
Ride !
Picking those pesky little pellets will be a chore for me too. I have very bad sense of feel on both my hands , thanks to the Sport and training i did in the past. Like mentioned my fingers are like a bundle of slack Dick´s , in absence of a better description, and i get very frustrated very easily when trying to wrench with finer mechanics these days. The .177 Pellet-picking will either be good physiotherapy or i´ll get pisse and there´ll be .177 Pellets all over the place..
9x 75 yards ?? I would hardly make it with 20x so do not feel overly bad about yourself.
“Cull Off?” I have been saying that for about 5 years now and a lot of my non-PCP airguns are not even on my forum list. 🙂 I have a nice sidelever RWS 52 in .177. My Stubby Maddog also is touting a 12″ .177 barrel at 900 FPS and does 1/2″ groups at 50 yards. I have been pesting all morning. They are out in force.
” Little” being the key word here, I only hope my chubby finger tips can pick them up to load magazines. I do not have any current .177 experience 12-15 years old was the last time I shot .177. These things are multiplying like rabbits around here, I keep think with each purpose I will begin to be able to cull another out of the collection but it just does not seem to work, I seem to love something about every one of them and can assign it a specific task so that it can remain. I will say that for all but bench resting, I do gravitate to the smallest of the guns every time I shoot so this new cricket will be welcome in that end of the hobby. I have shot 100 rounds out the window already this morning. My favorite snow covered 75 yard hill side has a fresh coating so my targets all got fresh paint this morning again. I just shoot a hole in the snow and it makes a new bullseye. I had to give up on the Weaver Legend HD 3-9 this morning and swapping in that 4-16 Hawke I was saying had one last chance to impress before it is outta here. I just like more than 9x at 75 yards for pellet guns.
I am with you. I am gathering ammo for the spring prairie dog (Sod Poodles 😆 ) hunt in North Dakota right now. 17 WSM, 223, 22-250, and 243. I plan on 2500 rounds for three wonderful days near Fort Yates, ND. Then the Indians have provided us with a fine Casino and accommodations for the evenings. Almost as much fun as massive bird pesting with PCPs. Where we go now shots under 200 yards are very common so the little 17 WSM should be useful too.
The little .177 Baby Cricket will get a workout indeed.
So you too joined our little Club ?? I can imagine that little Bugger will see a lot of use at the Palatial Casa de Ville. I like everything flat shooting from .17/.20 Airrifle to 22-250.
