Remove shroud and barrel r3m question
What is the best way to remove the shroud and barrel on the r3m? I tried to remove shroud by hand, thought I might put a piece of rubber around shroud and use a good set of vice grips. Is the shroud cover glued on? How much torque should be applied to the barrel tensioner/shroud bolt when reassembled? Is the barrel screwed into the breach on the new model?

What’s not explained in the video is that he’s using a 19mm wrench. Now all of my wrenches were too thick to fit. What I did after not finding a thinner wrench was using an angle grinder, ground down the sides of a cheap 19mm wrench being careful not to heat it up too much. Be careful when putting everything back together! If you don’t have the first half of the shroud lined up properly you could crush the shroud.
