Q:

A couple "new" bullpups that caught my eye today.

Yes, I saw the Cricket, Matador, Max, Bobcat, Lelya, Colibri….but, these two also caught my eye.
I’ll have more info later, once I get all my notes squared away. The makers of the P12 were there, but they only had traditional rifles on display. I was told that their bullpup was held up in German customs. Nice folks, though. I mistakenly left a swag bag at their booth, and they contacted me via email to let me know they had it. Anyway……….the guns:

Airgun Technology – “Vulcan”
Made in the Czech Republic. CZ barrel.

Ataman – “MR2”
Made in Russia. LW barrel.

I like all the Bullpups, but that Ataman Benchrest gun is the best looking airgun I`ve ever seen.It was on Airgunadvice in Dec 2012. Why hasn`t Ataman
come to US,they seem like a large CO.(AG`s,crossbows, knifes)

Looks like the forward cocking lever can be switched from the left side to the right too? The poster behind you would suggest so..
The stock looks a lot like the Ukrainian Raptor 3, are they related?

Its a pity you missed out on handling the P12, That’s a well travelled little pup 😉 .. such a shame it was held up on its final leg of its trip.. typical of the German customs..

Ive been “field testing” the .22cal P12 today :thumb:

That Vulcan is very nice looking and seems to be compact as well. I really like the cocking in front approach, it’s a pleasure to shoot. When I did the front loading lever for my D-max bullpup I was having hard time trying to decide whether it should be on right or left side. Maybe I should try it on the left side after all to see if it’s better.

Thanks Ted,,, i liked your posts during your visit to Nuremberg,,, keep posting more details about that great exhibition ,,,

Guys,,, as i mentioned in Trygve’s post ,,,, the time and day of the long rifles are gone,,, and the Globalization makes us to ask for everything optimized and make everything small,,, now i have/ you have all this WORLD in your hand phone ,,,, so,,, i quite believe the fans of the Bullpups are growing up so soon ,,,, and very quick ,,,,

guys,,, i like the idea of the stop place for the hammer pin,,, which is shown in the above pic,,, i am thinking that this gun might has more shot consistency since she has a regu and this stop pin place ,, or maybe i am wrong…

Oh, Edit; i like the Volcan ,,,, it looks more compact than ATAMAN

At 1:40 they show a .35 cal !!

here is the ataman website…

http://www.bvgindustrial.ru

17 22 25 calibers. 32 inches long and 7.2 lbs

looks like they got a wood stock, olive drab in soft touch, and a black in soft touch

Is it just me, or maybe the pic is deceving, but the atman looks like its as large as the guy next to it.

The Ataman was talked about on another forum January of this year, I googled them and it came up (will try to find again) the owner/designed went by the name Diver and said the basic bench rest model started at $2000. He’s looking to start exporting.

Found it

Nice cut away, I hope that ATAMAN is out of my price range,
I did some digging and the ATAMAN M2R series are in .177, .22, and .25, and all have the same price tag 63 000 rubles or 1731.366 american.
Hey Ted bring me back one

Ohhhh. There’s that forward cocking bolt. Interesting.
What caliber was the Ataman ( evanix/cricket love child)? That probe looks huge

Wow the bullpup world just got bigger! Thanks Ted.

I like the Vulcan and the bolt towards the front…bug the second gun doesn’t really catch my eye.
