Well, Eldy has some, I need a few hundred.

Shot the slims today and they were not to be desired for the TJ barrel, not enough fat ones, I do have a Sam Yang 909, so maybe they shoot good in it. I am spoiled now on EPP’s.

Bummer the Slims aren’t shooing in that TJ barrel.

The EPP/UG design is definitely the bomb…..my favorite by far for many years. RoachCreek had excellent luck with them in his Ranger, too. Pretty safe bet in most any .45 airgun, really. Hope Mark Whyte gets them going again soon…those molds just don’t hold up to long for guys like him that often cast a couple thousand boolits per session.

I wonder if Mule Burrow Corral is still in business? He casts, and sells the EPP/UG’s as well.

Yes I have less then 100 epp’s I measured the slims and they are every bit of 457, so they should shoot great.

Good that you at least have SOME EPP/UG’s to compare with the .45Slims…..will you be hunting with them? I’m curious as to what sort of hole Slims punch thru game, in comparison with the EPP/UG’s.

Got like 1000 45 slims, 175 grain slugs, ye-haw!! I guess the Epps are not working out to well yet for Mark, so he sent me extra, extra nice guy.

Can’t wait to see how they shoot for you. Get to shootin’!

Mark must go thru those molds like toilet paper…..he told me he is constantly patching those molds up in one way or another. I guess I’ll be ordering the Slims until he gets the EPP/UG’s back up and running (if I don’t just stick with the Slims). Running low on EPP/UG’s myself.

Still no boolits yet.

I’ve been saying it for years: the EPP/UG has made roundball in .45caliber obsolete. More accurate, more efficient, less expensive (than store-bought roundball), cuts a much cleaner hole in both paper and game……what more could anyone ask for in a super-lightweight boolit? Best discovery I have made in the airguns. Took a few years to get everyone on board, but people seem to be reaping the benefits of this design these days.

Butcher,

This thread and the others regarding Eldy’s kits, Dougs valves and the new 357’s and 45’s coming available are so interesting.

I just love reading these posts.

Although I was always after a heavier slug in the 45 bore, those EPP/UG’s you sent me a couple years ago were one holers.

Maw and Eldy, keep it up, you make my day.

Have not got them in yet, They maybe here tomarrow, but windy as hell tomarrow and the next day so maybe Friday or Saturday.

He said the slims are 175 grn. and they drop at 455-456, I’m shooting them out of my 457 Talon SS.

Nice…..what sort of accuracy are you seeing out of them?

I would buy from sure

quote Nomadic Pirate:

Chris, you should advise him to start producing the .357 EPP/UG the .357s are becoming more and more popular, Accurate molds sells the EPP/UG mold already and I think if Whiteleather would start casting them he would sell a bunch 🙂

I figured that boolit would be a popular one, too. EPP/UG’s just LOOK like they were made for airguns, even though they weren’t originally.

I will do that when I speak to him next……..we all should! Wouldn’t be surprised if he has the mold already, and just doesn’t have it on his site.
