Holy crap – Ohio to Wyoming? I thought North Dakota was far from Missouri. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Holly shit I’d have to move on if the shooting was that sloooooooooow. My old saying: a bad day of P-doging is better than 10 years of woodchucking here in Ohio….GO BUCKS!!

Wow. Two of us get about 1200-1500 in North Dakota in three days of shooting. I have two 80s vintage Remington 700 BDL Varmint Hvy Brl rifles in .223 and .243 and a Weatherby stainless 22-250 with a Leupold 36x fixed and two 6.5-20 Var-III scopes. We go on the Indian reservations or ranches nearby. We used to go to Rosebud Indian Reservation South Dakota back in the 90s but it got a little too shot up. The little 17 WSM adds a new capable little cartridge to the fun. I only have accumulated about 25 boxes of 50 rounds/box of the ammo since last summer and 17 WSM is in real short supply with only Winchester making it. I will also bring my .25 Matador this spring for shooting around the ranchers buildings.

Two years ago my buddy and I shot over 5000 dogs in 5 days and just as many jack rabbits and cotton tails. Ranchers hate anything that eat grass except cattle and sheep.

My favorite Rifle is my Remington 40 X in .22-250, 2 oz trigger and a 15 power Unertl scope. Bought the whole package new for $450 in 1970.

Ville, you mean there’s US ammo over in Sweden?? And plenty of it?? WTF??? NOBODY and I mean NOBODY, has any .22 ammo around me or any where else close. Not Cabelas, not Gander Mountain.. NOBODY!!!… But me….. ๐Ÿ˜€ I even sold 10 bricks of Eley for $100 a brick, bought it for $14 a brick. Small mark up ya know.

Coda, we also take .22s, .357s, .22-250 and .22-250 Improved along with 220 swift and several assorted other rifles. Been shooting at same ranches for 45 years and there’s still dogs.
Oh I forgot we also take our CZs in .17HMR just for the fun of it. Hang time and chunks is what we shoot for….

Plenty enough so they sell it at discounted prices. CCI Std, Blazers, Aquila, AEยดs,Federal, Win, Remington – you name it. Like said the US ammo shortage sounds very weird.

Last year I picked up a Savage B Mag and now they have heavy barrel stainless in 17 WSM. They are 20 grain rimfire’s at 3000 FPS. Even the regular skinny barrel Savage shoots 3/4″ groups at 100 yards. They are good for about 200 yards max.

We have tons of the Eley/Tenex match 22s for about $10 a box and I have some of it when hitting things is really important. :smilen:

I don’t worry about .22 LRs, I have more than I’ll ever shoot and all in HPs…..around 75,000 :biggrinn:

I used to buy them by the case when they were $75 – $80 a case and I’d get 4-5 cases at a time. Haven’t bought .22s for years now. Only waste them now on P-dogs in Wyoming every year..

Zonk

I think you need some more .22LR – just to be on the sure side of things. I can sell you some Norma Jaktmatch. Thereยดs not a trace of .RF ammo over here but i only shoot European brands and so i use Norma,RWS,SK & Lapua. Itยดs important to be able to hit things, you know. One needs good ammo for Target shooting … ๐Ÿ˜‰
Funny enough there are loads of US made ammo on the shelves at every imaginable Dealer so i donยดt quite get the US ammo shortage thing. โ“ โ“

I have 30 bricks of primarily Blazer Brass 22s which should last me but that is only 15,000. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I got most of them in bulk for about $10 a brick about 4 years ago. So many folks have tried to buy some from me but they never like my price. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ I have 17 WSM, .223, 22-250, and 243s for this years dog hunt. ๐Ÿ˜€ I have a robust ๐Ÿ™‚ supply of ammo for every PB I own.

My last pellet order put me just over 55,000 pellets but most are JSB 10.34, 18.13, 25.54, 26 Predators, and 44.75s. I also have plenty of 7.9, 8.4, 13.43, 14.3, 50, and 15.9 for various guns. Then I have a slew of H&Ns Cudas and Kodiaks of .22 and .25 and some Benjys and Crosman Premiers. Some lead free and various single tins of stuff to try and a few I probably missed.

I don’t approach those competition shooters but easily shoot well over 10,000 pellets a year.

This time the price hike news is coming from across the pond so I think it may be real.

I have 27 tins left of the 30 cal JSB but did one last order for 8 more JSB 18.13s 500 tins just for fun. I keep getting told to expect lead pellets to go up like 22 LRs over the next year by one retailer friend. If nothing else I can sell a few tins to my brother when he needs them.

quote oldgoat:

I just ordered 12 tins of 30 cal JSBs yesterday and they still had the buy 3 get 1 free deal going.

The 30 cals are kinda pricey! 12 tins-1800 pellets=$153!

I bet ya got another 30 to 40 tins under all that stuff…. I think I saw a rat in there ??? :4:

Sorry It was airgun depot…. but I bet PA will follow suit…..

Zonk

quote SECoda:

Whew – glad I have a couple of years pellets on hand.

quote Zonk:

It would me…..

Hey I just heard PA is going to stop with they’re buy 3, get one free program on pellets….. :sadn:

Zonk

Hey Brant what is all that stuff! You need a yard sale soon buddy!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
