Q:

Bullets

Hey, I was looking around at slugs today, are there any .25 slugs that you can shoot from a choked LW barrel? I want to try them before I buy a new barrel, or avoid buying a new barrel completly. Just wanted to know some peoples reactions.

Pent up demand has emptied the inventory plus a thousand more and left us with open orders of 4500 slugs right now. I answered your PM, you probably need to add some power before getting the slugs.

😆 lol!
Do you have any of those slugs for sale?

Jerry’s slugs are the only option that I know of for a choked barrel.

I fought the choked LW barrel with cast bullets for several months. I tried them in two different barrels, a 18 inch and a 24 inch, finally I tried a hacksaw and it improved the accuracy quite a bit, but it was still nothing compared to what a TJ barrel will do for you.

My LW barrel was a .2549 if I remember right and my first bullet was the RCBS 25 acp bullet, it did not work well at all, then I had a 56 grain LBt mold made which worked pretty well after the nose job. The 257420 bullet sized to .255 worked also, but again your better off just buying a TJ barrel and getting it fitted or buy one from RL that is already fitted, then you can simply use off the shelf molds.

Jerrys 7 rings always worked for me, if you have enough power.
