Crickets are taking over/April 15
like my Edgun but I love my Cricket :winkn:
I wonder which section will get the most post. Let’s say by April 15. Lets see which gun is more popular these days? Let’s go, Cricket Vs. Edgun :12:

Hummingbirds were delayed last WWAG reported. Do you have new information?

That might not be quite scientific as I noticed there are a lot of post regarding the problems Edgun has….At this rate Edgun will win by a long shot, but not in a good way
I think April 15 is a significant date as rumor has it (starting right now by me) that the Colibri / Hummingbird will be here on that date!

If they came in .30 I would have one now. I have heard rumors here and there but no place to buy it outright!
I quess by now everyone here knows where i stand regarding this . GO BUGS !!!
OG -You have a PM !
I’ve got an R3M this year and a Cricket WS, both in .25 and there’s no comparison. The Edgun is more expensive and less accurate out of the box. It has so many issues, the cost is closer to $2500, unless you’re willing to spend a lot of hours replacing parts. The indexing doesn’t work, so a Ride fix needed, the action is way too gritty, in need of polishing. The valve is subject to breakage. Hopefully Ernest will finish his steel & Delrin prototype testing. The probe bumps into the side of the breech; it’s not lined up as well. It’s shooting too fast. The bolts are subject to stripping. With all this BS, I’m sending Ernest the gun; I have two jobs and no time to blow my weekends fixing, buying parts, etc.
Took the Cricket out of the box, scoped it, and within minutes had one-hole groups at 40 yds. Day one in the field: filled a white kitchen trash bag with squirrels-no problems.
I work in commercial agriculture/horticulture and these things are tools. I need to control pests, hundreds of them. The Cricket has performed all last season, without a hitch. Yeah, the mechanisms seem a bit wonky, but when it’s time to pull the trigger, one is in the field and one sits in a box. I have no brand loyalty. This is a limited review based on what I received.
If you get a “Lemon” Edgun, you are usually able to return it, and you’re out close to $100 for the back and forth shipping. I did not have the option to exchange it. With the Cricket, Steve at WWAG will make it right, return or exchange, no loss. Contest? Begin by comparing models within the same manufacturing year and all parameters, beginning when you open the box and the follow-up customer service.
Designated date to see which gun got the most total posts :fishinghole:
I must have missed something… What is special about the 15, other than tax day?
Thanks for the clarification Oldgoat 💡 Sounds like its a good time to buy if you want a/or another Bullpup before the price goes back up. I’m taking advantage of the new lower price. I ordered a .177 short 3 weeks ago :8:
Get em while their hot guys. :2cents:
I’m sure that the Cricket will have more posts than the Edguns. A lot of people will spend $1400 instead of $2100 for a bullpup.
When anybody gets a new air gun, they will post it here. I can’t blame them; I would do it also. Just sayn that you will see more Cricket pics than Edgun pics.
When the Crickets were first imported into the US, they sold for about the same price as a Matador. Then a couple other importers started selling them. The selling price dropped. AOA then started to import them and is currently trying to low ball the price and run the other importers out of the picture.
A lot of guys have bought $1500 Crickets and then sent them to Ernest for a tune. That’s OK as the price for a Cricket and an Ernest tune is still under what you would pay for an Edgun.
If/when AOA drives everybody else out of importing the Crickets; AOA will increase the price back up to the Edgun prices.
Bank on it!
I’ve owned 6 Matadors, never owned a Cricket; I don’t like the looks of the internals of the Cricket. If I was going to buy a non Edgun, IF, I would buy a P12 and go from there. The P12 looks promising after a few/bunch of mods have been made.
I’m sure it will be no contest. But you also have to have guys willing to to post too.
