Q:

dawning of a new era

Relatively new to the pcp world but have been using springers and come rifles for years. Have about t ten years experience machining and would like to build my own pcp rifle. Problem is that I can’t find any plans to give me a starting point and its just short I of impossible to find the book by H.Buckley. Can anyone help. Thanks a million

That is a Stace breech, made by Grant Stace in New Zealand. Also has one of Grants aluminum roller triggers on it. Grips are by Ricks grips (iagent on most forums)

Gippeto- where did you get the breech in the first picture? The one w/the tube stock? It looks sweet!!!

Would suggest the Crosman or QB stuff as being a good starting point if the style isn’t of utmost importance. (ie…ya just GOTTA have a rear bottle gun 😉 )

Crosman based. Crosman parts are the barrel and grip frame/trigger group.

Qb styled .308 in the works. QB trigger, TJ’s barrel, 1″tube.

Would say that both are relatively simple builds for someone with some experience and proper tooling.

Have been using my buddies machine shop for the past few and finally got done time to do some shooting. Decided to revert back to old faithful and grabbed my 880. For so little this thing is nice. Crow at 45 yards clean kills at that, this thing is amazing. Thanks for the reply, felt good to hear and receive support from someone on the forum. Like you I’m eager to get into making my own pcp and am currently in the design, taking styling cures from all over the internet. One question, do you know of anyplace I can find a copy of the H. Buckley book?

Welcome 4 eyes,
I am a novice here too. I also aspire to start building something. This Airforce design platform lends itself well to build upon!
I am aspiring to become proficient home hobby machinist. I acquired a 12×36 gear head lathe along with decent amount of tooling from an estate. Unfortunately havent had the time to dedicate getting all organized and ready to put safely to use yet. So its just another project in the making for the time being. I hope to be making larger piles of chips here very shortly!
Welcome to the Forums!
